The voice spikes a lot (some configuration error with Audacity perhaps) and you have music on the background, so it's difficult to assess properly. I'd say try again.

ok, so how should i deal with the problem the spikes. also is that the right tone of voice that would suit the dwarvens??

I'm not that good with Audacity myself, so I can't be of much help there. Try playing with the options a bit and see if the problem is fixed, try recording at a lower volume...

man i really want to win the contest but audacity is so hard to use!!!, it makes ur voice all crackly and stuff and i have ultered different things and it hasn't changed, could you suggest anther software??

I suggest using the No23 recorder. It works for me very well.

Audacity doesn't want to pick up my USB headset, thats the only thing i have with a microphone. Any tips? I checked the online manual but got nothing.

go on control panel, hardware and sound, sound, then recording and see if your device is ticked.

So we can only say what's listed on there? Or can we say somethings like ''Dwarven Spears'' or ''Elven Swords''? Also only one voice variety per audio file correct? e.g. On a file I say ''Swords'' with a normal tone and I wait a few seconds later and then say ''Swords!'' in a louder tone.

It was ticked, it was picking up my voice. But Audacity was not detecting anything I said when I was testing it.

I fixed the problem now. Can do some recordings.
