Thread: sands of Conquest!:BETA( download)

  1. #1

    Default sands of Conquest!:BETA( download)

    Sands of Conquest
    is a complete mod
with ten totally new factions (dynasties)
    a new map (160+ regions)
    almost new everything!
I won't give anything away! because I would rather people be happily surprised!
a few of those things are like twenty five new buildings! new music & so on! ( that just scratches the surface!)
all you need to know is "Sands of Conquest" is a fantasy mod Set on the desert island of lurija & its surrounding satellite islands!
    all Dynasties are Islamic!

    important tip
    on army movement:it is
really slow unless you have a general with the contingent!
the game play goals are to conquer 50 regions but most importantly the five fortresses located at the center of the main large island!
I am only posting a few screen shots because I am hoping people will download and be impressed & inspired enough to post some from in game & in action!

important: this requires a manual install
download mod package then winrar to dektop & copy to medievalII/mods
optional create a desktop short for the bat. (executable file) (right click create desktop short cut )

    thanks go to:
Gigantus for the basic Heights map
Condorietti SOG for both his battle & campaign AI

    Team:
    druvatar de bodemloze(all around)
Russian Gondor(partial yet substantial mapping, coding & 2d)
    Ashton (Scripting)

    download link:

    http://www.fileswap.com/dl/adx2Gwqrr...quest.rar.html (updated 02/25/12)
    updated 05/28/11

    contains many mapping improvements
more events! & more! plus all fixes up to this point
    have fun!
(Jihad fix in post #108 not save compatible, sorry)

First problem: Went to attack rebels and the screen that shows you the combatants and lets you choose to proceed to Battle overlaps with the bottom of the screen, cutting off the section with the fight button.

    Kinda lost here atm...

ok ,manana I will upload the package anew ( which will include fix #1) but tell me some desired features after you play a little bit
( I.e. Starting ports & navies for the northern island Dynasties) & please! upload some screen shots!

Is it mod foldered. Please show some units.

ok, these are unit cards for all ten Dynasties
& I am sorry to say I will not upload any screen shots of battlefield units ( although they are all re-skinned quite nicely) but if this is your main concern than you really should not download any of my mods!~ (sorry) my primary concern is enhancing the campaign
but I hope you like anyway!

edit: I will not post any preview screen shots! I would not release this mod if it was not top quality anyway! I have a mod in the hosted area of the forum already which has had several thousand downloads but merely about twenty user screen shots my work is good! you are getting it free! the least you could do is post some screen shots from your campaigns! Really!

    Nice mod mate +rep :

Trying a campaign with Mosul, first bug (a major one):

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

See at the battle window, I can't reach the fight buttons :p.

Oh and just a small suggestion, the music is great but its end too abrupt. If possible to make the change more smoothly.

    Regarding Depan, M/M:

    1. No voices.

    2. Too much money. I can't believe I'm saying this but it's true.... I'm buying those $15,000 elephant pens out of desperation, trying to keep my funds down. This also includes buying every soldier and building available.
