I have heard venom is in the 3rd movie (though it seems a little early to me.......ok, so I used to be a huuuge spiderman fan, so sue me) as well as Sandman (which I believe has been confirmed). So what about Osbourne as the goblin? 3 villians at once? seems a bit too much to me.

Over on Imbd it says Brock/Venom is going to be played by Eric from the 70s show.... I dont know about you guys, but he seems to wimpy to play that role.

I have read that to, he doesn't really seem right for the role. I hope he has a good personal trainer.Originally Posted by Lord Agelmar

Ahh cool, I watched Spiderman 2 for the first time last weekend! Well Harry Osborne has GOT to be in it as the new Green Goblin...

Actually, I think Topher Grace will make a good Brock. Venom is going to require a hell of a lot of CG, so Grace won't detract from that.
Brock is supposed to be a big bully kind of guy anyway, even without the suit. Topher Grace just doesn't suit that image. They would be better suited with someone like Russel Crowe or even Hugh Jackman if he wasn't already in marvel movies.
If Venom is in the movie I hope there is no real battles against him, just revealing him at the end. He deserves to be in the spotlight.
I hope they do the whole thing with the black suit spidey. It was really an intruiging storyline. The enhanced strength of the Venom suit + spiderman's natural enhanced strength made him more like superman than spiderman, but he was agressive and had dark tendanceis.

As far as this kid from that 70's show playing Venom it makes sense in a movie kinda way, he and Toby Mcguire as both about the same build give or take a few pounds, and I think thats what they are going for, Spidermans complete opposite. Not like the comic but what can ya do? It's Hollywood. IMO the Spiderman movies are without a doubt the best conversion from comic book to film, I trust 'em, and I usually dont.
