    Default Recruitment of Ballistas,Catapults etc

    This is my second campaign game of SS6.4 with RC/RR and BYG IV. First Game Byzantines and now Crusader States

    I am having trouble working out how to build/purchase artillery units.

    I have built all the right buildings and the units picture shows in my unit lists (not highlighted) but I cant recruit them - I have placed my Faction leader in the castle to build it (all recruiting traits) but nothing. Every time I attack a Turkish army they have artillery eg catapults and I dont.

    How does it work?


    Is there some way to calculate when the next units will be built?

    This is a recurring question and it has to do with BGR. Did your FL stay in the castle long enough for the catapult to become available? If you move him out, the waiting period resets.

    I finally was able to buy artillery in Antioch (Crusader campaign) after the geneal in that city got a trait for building artillery - extra points to building siege weapons or something. I will have a look at BGR forum.

    Those extra points are used to build siege towers, ladders and rams when attacking a city.
