French are religious people, and their King and Kingdom was excommunicated. Now thanks to the Emperor the darkness over the Kingdom
has been dissipated.

@Core-i7: since HRE didn't receive any offer this turn, he attacked your troops around Rheims as precaution. the deal is still valid,
and the dead of the king favored you as you're not excommunicated anymore so no harm is done.
He also could have besieged Paris, be he didn't want as he prefer peace and close the deal.
