Hm...But I in folder mods automatically have a folder broken_crescent_kingdoms
Installation path of BC 2.3 should be "M2TW/mods/Broken_Crescent_kingdoms" (no more, no less)! Installer automatically adds "/Broken_Crescent_kingdoms" to the path chosen by you, so watch out to not to set "/mods/Broken_Crescent_kingdoms/broken_crescent_kingdoms"!

Hasn't helped.
That I only didn't do. The fact is interesting. At some ВС2.3 it is started and works normal, but for many of us at a forum doesn't want to work, and the problem is present.

I've got the exact same problem as Mr.Gorby - Windows 7, English version of MTW2
I tried the cut-down .cfg file, but it didn't work for me.
Deleting the medieval2.preference.cfg doesn't help either, though it seems to load a bit more before CTD'ing.
I can try a log level trace and send you the files - if you care to read through it... it's quite large and mentions a bunch of "missing" files (usually something about "missing" a file.tga.dds, but "found" the file.tga).
I haven't seen such a crazy behavior before either.

Tell me, those people who haven't got any problems with launching 2.3 - do they have Russian versions of M2TW?
For all three players doesn't work, for one works. Strange. At everything, they spoke the Russian versions of M2TW license of game. All previous versions of yours a ВС work for me, and other mods M2TW too.

I have established the new version of original MTW2 KINGDOMS 1.5.
Has put there folder MODS unpacked Broken_Crescent_kingdoms, has started from a folder, works now. Probably ВС doesn't want to work with other mods though it is strange, for one player works.

Right... ridiculous as it may seem, in my case I managed to load a new campaign game (without a CTD) as soon as I removed the
[io]
file_first = true
lines from the bc.cfg file - no need to re-install the game or anything. Now, I'll have to see if the game plays right.

OK I'm not sure the Irish had potatoes in medieval times but that still doesn't tip things in their favour

Apologies for poor following of the template, (on the playstation 3, limited internet capabilities) anyway, here goes.
.ladders and siege towers too tall when besieging cities
.The issue is always repeatable,
.the year is irrelevant,
.paramara rajputs and sindh, probably same for each faction
.ladders and siege towers are way too big when besieging cities, I do not know wether this
persists on other settlement types.

Thanks for reports. I've learned about this just few hours ago. It's my fault, I've send wrong files to Neige Noire who created the installer. Sorry.
It needs a quick fix, but let's wait few more days, maybe there are other similarly annoying errors to be fixed, and we would like to avoid releasing few even-quicker fixes.

Large City and Large Town settlement types are not affected. I cannot test Metropolis because the I get a CTD when attempting a Custom Battle siege (report coming soon!) and I do not know of any settlement that begins at that developmental level. I note also that the problem with City settlements appears regardless of faction or culture as depicted in the following tests:
Oman @ Aden (City): Yes
Oman @ Hormuz (City): Yes
Oman @ Kiev (City): Yes
Roman @ Aden: Yes
Khwarezm @ Merv (Large City): No
Khwarezm @ Balkh (Large Town): No
Fortunately it seems Wudang has already identified the problem.
