No! I have Windows 7 64 bit. Every 32 bit application (like Medieval 2 and all mods for this) will be installed in program files (x86). Medieval 2 mods have to be installed in the Medieval 2 directory, For more informations: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...sked-questions
Thanks for the help.
Although I have MTW2 on CD, I would like to know if my steam account should also be installed in program files (x86), for I still have some of my old games running on XP, but was planning to move them all to Windows 7 64bits, just as you did.
* Very excited to play this mod! Is there any tutorial or manual available for the game?
Isnīt the default installation path of steam c:\program files (x86) anyway? My two STEAM games (NTW, ETW) are installed there and I canīt remember that I changed that path before installing.
This STEAM survey from November says, that more than 56% of their customers have a MS-Win 64bit system.
Yes it is, mate.
One last question: Is it worth moving old games to windows 7 - 64 bits? By doing so, is it more likely that I would experience crashes or gaming instability?
Thanks very much for all the help.
* What about Broken Crescent tutorial or short manual? Is there one?

32 bit applications (like old games) run through the Wow6432Node. The main opportunity of a 64bit OS is the possiblity to access more than 4GB RAM without memory segmentation. Your old games will not benefit from that, sorry.
On the other hand, you donīt have disadvantages by installing the 32bit applications on a 64bit system. Most of (all ?) the games, that run on WinXP, run also on Win7-64. Just try to install outside program files (x86) to avoid problems with the UAC.
To the tipps and tricks: Iīve seen some older tutorials here, but canīt remember where. If you have questions to a faction or general problems with the mod, just open a new thread in our forum.
megalitho, thanks for your help and that link. After a few days of struggle and uninstalling M2TW, Kingdoms, SS 6.4, BftB 2.0, and installing them (this time outside the Program files0-absent BftB 2.0), I was able to install BC 2.3. Looking forward to start a campaign after I slept a few hours (looking towards the Georgians or the Khwarzemian Shah). lol, I guess mods are becoming addicting. Thanks again.
I finished the game guys with byzantine faction in hard mode of course. excellent work! the best mod for sure. maby sega learn something from you! go for an awesome new ing year from Byzantine Thessaloniki from Despotis Kyriakos the Cruel!
Quick question. Prior to installing BC, do I need to install one of the Kingdoms campaigns or can Kingdoms be installed without any of that stuff?
I installed this mod for the Steam Version, all 3 parts and in the right folder. I works fine when I start it but as soon as I pick a faction and start the campaign it crashes, how do I fix this?
Is there a different direct download link other than megaupload?
