No! I have Windows 7 64 bit. Every 32 bit application (like Medieval 2 and all mods for this) will be installed in program files (x86). Medieval 2 mods have to be installed in the Medieval 2 directory, For more informations: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...sked-questions

Although I have MTW2 on CD, I would like to know if my steam account should also be installed in program files (x86), for I still have some of my old games running on XP, but was planning to move them all to Windows 7 64bits, just as you did.

Isn´t the default installation path of steam c:\program files (x86) anyway? My two STEAM games (NTW, ETW) are installed there and I can´t remember that I changed that path before installing.

This STEAM survey from November says, that more than 56% of their customers have a MS-Win 64bit system.

32 bit applications (like old games) run through the Wow6432Node. The main opportunity of a 64bit OS is the possiblity to access more than 4GB RAM without memory segmentation. Your old games will not benefit from that, sorry.

On the other hand, you don´t have disadvantages by installing the 32bit applications on a 64bit system. Most of (all ?) the games, that run on WinXP, run also on Win7-64. Just try to install outside program files (x86) to avoid problems with the UAC.

To the tipps and tricks: I´ve seen some older tutorials here, but can´t remember where. If you have questions to a faction or general problems with the mod, just open a new thread in our forum.

After a few days of struggle and uninstalling M2TW, Kingdoms, SS 6.4, BftB 2.0, and installing them (this time outside the Program files0-absent BftB 2.0), I was able to install BC 2.3. Looking forward to start a campaign after I slept a few hours (looking towards the Georgians or the Khwarzemian Shah). lol, I guess mods are becoming addicting. Thanks again.

kingdoms is not a one game, it is a series of different campaigns (teutonic, crusades, etc) so yes.

I installed this mod for the Steam Version, all 3 parts and in the right folder. I works fine when I start it but as soon as I pick a faction and start the campaign it crashes, how do I fix this?

Try the torrent? it's faster and easier IMO, if you don't have a torrent client then just google it (I use Bitlord myself)

That didn't work, I don't understand why it wouldn't work because other mods work fine. Maybe reinstalling the mod will help.
