I want to say thank you, thank you again for this glorious mod. After a relapse into real life demands, and a bad driver on the computer that stopped all Total War for awhile, I recently got a hot new computer and finished real life well enough to pass. I started TW again with Kingdoms Grand Campaign, but missed Broken Crescent. Experiences with CTD made me hesitate, and I thought maybe to wait for BC3.0; but now I am playing my first games with BC2.3 and I love the graphics, the map, the feel. You mod developers stand at the top of the world feeding the hungry masses like spiritual masters of the universe. Hail!

I installed 3 exe file of BC 2.3. I launched the game and opened custom battle page. Only I saw 2 factions. Is it normal? Can't we play custom battle on BC 2.3?

Not at all. BC doesn't have eras anyway, so you lose nothing.

I've downloaded BC 2.3 but haven't started a new campaign. Before I start I'd like to know is whether a saved game from 2.3 will be compatible with 2.4 patch? Because I don't really want to start a new campaign and then a few days later have to restart.

Also, is 2.4 really just a patch or will we have to download a whole new version of BC?

I´m pretty sure that the upcoming patch (2.3.2) will not be savegame compatible. To the release of BC 2.4 it will take some time.

No, we will release 2.3.2 first, and that is patch. 2.4 is next version of BC. It won'y be savegame compatible.

damn it.... I knew I should've finished my Abbasid campaign.... u know... conquering the middle east in 90 turns aint a piece of cake....

I have not installed it, not knowing how to approach it. I remember reading somewhere that Broken Crescent was not compatible with the steam version of MTW2 Kingdoms. Hence, I never installed it.

I have all my MTW2 mods already installed inside program files folder, but I am seriously considering to reinstall the whole thing again in case you guys tell me this is really necessary. So, is it definetely recommended?

I am downloading Broken Crescent at the moment and can´t wait to check it out!

It´s the best way to avoid unspecified errors. But it will work also if you disable UAC. I have installed everything in program files (x86) and no problems so far.
