Most EU countries have road-signs only in their own language. The only EU country I know of that has both its own language and English is Greece.

Depends how you like your seasons.

In the winter there can be considerable snowfall even in the south (this year and last year) and quite cold, summers can get really hot (this summer was manageable but last summer it was 35+ degrees C constantly), so it all boils down to personal preference. If you love sun, visit in the summer. If you love snow and superb scenery, visit in the winter.

They are both bilingual countries though so obviously they'll have more than one language.
A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.

A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."

And with that I want to mention the birthday of King Michael of Romania, who turned 90 years old today.

Even after all these years he is still one of the most recognized and respected images of Romania abroad.

Landmarks, recreation and ladies you can start off with Bucharest.

Then you progress to other cities, Constanta for the Black Sea coast, Brasov for some mountain feeling, Sibiu and Sighisoara for a medieval/traditional setting, Bucovina province for a relaxed countryside and superb monasteries to visit.

    It would be Constan(z)a.
And there is a good party scene over there too. You put your thoughts in order during the day and visit some local landmarks (Danube Delta and the ruins of the Greek city Histria) and then you enjoy the nightlife.
