    Here is a little something we added. The Barbarian villages surrounding the Roman city that is under Barbarian control. Barbarians mostly settled outside of the Roman cities so this will be representative the Barbarian population This will mainly be at the faction capitals. The villages are actually a resource so they cannot grow. Most occupied settlements will be at the city level thus extremely difficult for the Barbarian occupied city to expand. Settlements under control by the barbarians will stay Roman in appearance. If they conquer a Roman city it will still appear Roman. They(village resource) will give the province added population bonuses and may trigger the creation of certain units

    A progression of this idea with settlements having forts. Barbarian buildings will still be unique but a blending of sorts will be apparent. Now they(forts and villages) are permanent but since the mod isn't set to play out for several hundered years, its addition can represent the games existing time. Having this in place and now starting the year at 476AD hording factions will no longer occur as they do in the IB2 Vandalorvm. I'll need to correct the alpha channel to rid the black around the flags

    The Germanic Village we are using here is from Icedie El Guaraní strat models- VII mod
    The fort is from our IB

    I have the jones for this mod. Am enjoying the others as well. It is great to get back to the classics. It is a wonder if they don't come out with a Rome Total War 2 and a Barbarian expansion for to long like they have done with MTW and STW. Simply amazing.

    looking great!

    will you remake things like: interface, music.... TOTALLY? (way RS2 did it, EVERYTHING is changed, if not remade, then graphigally changed (unless hard-coded)) It makes game a LOT better!

    EDIT: im still little tired for last night, so just post if you didn`t understood this n00b (me)

    Currently a large amout of coding is being added. Many of the faction rosters are being worked on.

    Redid the cities upgrade for Barbarian factions: Northern Europe
    All settlements are at city level or higher

    Barbarian Culture:
    Barbarian starting settlements:
    -Settlements within the known Roman Empire are at city level and
    displayed as Roman looking
    -Settlements outside the Empire(usually beyond the Danube)
    displayed as as large settlements-hybrid: Roman walls /Barbarian buildings within the model

    Barbarian Culture:
    -Barbarian Capitals within the known Roman Empire are large city settlements and displayed as hybrid: Roman/Barbarian

    Barbarian Culture:
    -Barbarian city level upgrade from the city settlements to large city settlements will display the hybrid Roman/Barbarian look
    -Barbarian large settlements upgrade to huge city settlements will
    display the huge Fortress as the huge settlement

    -Odoacer will be barbarian in culture but also Hybrid between Barbarian and Roman

    Roman Culture:
    -ERE will be starting off with mostly huge city settlements..Everything will be Roman but I'll add some Byzantium unique structures
    -I will try to get some picts up later today

    Will you modify the wall(s)? As vanilla ones look pretty booring, if they not unhistorical, then at least im so tired of them!

    EDIT: there were couple walls from vanilla Rome.. So booring ones, totally unhistorical (of course it might be just a photo, so apoligize if im wrong)

    If you are talking about the battle map then the wooden walls have been modified. Forts and wooden fortresses. You can see this in the other released mods.

    For stone walls, I have some textures from char that I may draw in depending on the amount of work needed to be done
