Very, very, nice.
Also,
are these what I think they are:

(The poles)
Der Einzige, they are carrying forks which were used by arquebusiers (infantry - not to be confused with harquebusiers which were cavalry) and early matchlock musketeers. These weapons were very heavy at the start of the 17th century so had to be mounted on a fork.
How we implemented this mechanism in the game can be seen below. Credits to uanime5 for this:Venetian arquebusiers also use a fork:Spoiler Alert, click show to read:Early Gardes Suisses officer (France):Spoiler Alert, click show to read:Thouars Regiment (French mercenaries in Dutch army):Spoiler Alert, click show to read:Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

We're making progress on editing the tech tree. Below for example I've managed to move the "Separation of Powers" from 1st to 5th on the Enlightenment tech tree:Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Hm, the forks look nice.
Is there going to be a new animation made for future release or is it going to use this one? (for the forks that is)
This one. We did it by attaching the fork to one hand so that when the hands come together it simulates the gun being mounted on the fork. It isn't a new animation.
I will hopefully have screenshots of late French artillery today or tomorrow.
