Next Total War Game Discussion

I think that there are 3 choices :

1. If they would continue making games like in the old line(shougun,medieval,rome) then medieval 3 would be next,but since they announced that it will pass a long time before they make something with 3 in it next won't be medieval 3.

2. They listen to the majority and make Rome 2 total war.

3. They make something completely new a surprise us all.

Eventhough I am for Rome 2 I think that they will make something new.

Isn't E3 soon? I'd imagine we'd definitely hear by then?

Edit: I wonder who voted for Shogun 3...

E3 is the first week of June I believe. I will be a little surprised if they do it there since they usually like to announce it on their own website. But since E3 is only a few weeks away I'm assuming they will announce there, unless there has been some type of delay in the development and the game isn't coming out for a while yet.

I have also been wondering who voted for Shogun 3. I'm guessing someone who really likes ninjas.

I was thinking a game on the "Age of Discovery" might be cool. It would span Europe, eastern and southeast Asia, North America, northern South America, maybe India and some of Africa. Maybe some factions like the Aztec or any other non-Western factions could adapt technology (somewhat like the Apachean tribes in Kingdoms, but more realistic).

Yeah.... I wanna see something in the style of AoE3! ^^
Relying on a trickling supply of shipped units if your European. Whilst trying to defend your home territories with recruited units if your native.

I don't think the series has had enough games in it to start looking for such patterns; it could just as easily be new, new, new, new, repeat, new, repeat, repeat.

Cant be, Med II came after Rome so that serves Rome II comes before Med III.

You should prob try altering your formula.

Shogun, Med and Rome are New. Empire and later NTW are new. NTW is stand-Alone.

Well, some speculate that there may be an announcement of sorts at E3. That being said, to my recollection, CA has never had a great presence at E3.

I agree there are no patterns. No serious developer would do games based on patterns.
I don't think CA will be at E3,, they rarely did go the only game that was announced there was medieval2. I bett they will announce the next TW just before the E3 to make some buzz.

No they didn't. They announced it on their website a few weeks before. Which is what I assumed they would do again this time, but it's looking less and less likely. As long as they announce it sometime soon so we can end the discussions on what game it will be and start the discussions on what cool new stuff will be in the game.
