Well I think that they should do a Victoria Total War. We could Include the Crimean War, the US Civil War, Expansion over Africa, American Mexican War, Rebellion in India and much more. I think they should span it to maybe 1830s - 1880s when bolt action rifles and machine guns were introduced. I think it would be great
"When I die, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like Fidel Castro, not screaming in terror, like his victims."
My shameful truth.
Totally agree! A lot of people want modern time tw, I think it's a non sense regarding what tw is all about. A Victoria game woul be the max we could go.
I really think tw can't work with fantasy games, or if it has airplanes or subs in it.
China or civil war would not be interesting enough for European people who are a big slice of the game market. May be as expansions...

I hope CA watch this forum cause the poll is very clear most tw fans want Rome 2. It would be shameful to ignore us!

Depsite the fact that Asia was the site of the most recent TW game, I'd personally like to see one for China.
Can someone explain to me the appeal to China for a tw game? The time period seems awfully vast, do we even have enough material to do an historically accurate game? some must have seen to many kung fu movies

Tw fps? Not inthe same phrase! CA must stick to what they do great: historical rts on pc. All their other games (stormrise spartan tw) I would not have them for free.

Three Kingdoms: Total War.
That would be my name for the Chinese TW game. It's a very interesting time in history (who has played the Dynasty Warriors games)
You have the fall of the Han Empire,
The Three main Kingdoms of Wu, Wei, Shu..
Then others such as the Yellow Turban Rebellion, Nanbans, Dong Zhuo's empire, there was also 4-5 other 'clans' which divided China at this time ( I am not 100% accurate on the history ).
Basically just a Chinese version of Shogun. And I love both Shoguns.
Just my two cents anyway, that's what I voted for.
Oda, A Rise from the Ashes of Obscurity (S2).
I would like a Rome 2 Total War as RS2 for RTW with better graphics than SHOGUN 2 ! With a incredible ambience and a very realist vegetation !
RTW 1 fan - betrayed, disillusioned, disgusted with Rome 2.

It has been proposed to be Rome Total War 2. It could also be Total War China. Given how Empires and Napoleon added a new dimension to the game, the sea, I propose it may well be, Total War: World War II. We all, I am sure however, wish it would be, Total War Creator - Create and mod your own games, with free included units from multiple time spans and world regions.
It would be wonderful if they asked any of us for opinions on which one to do next. What is your view? One of the above or something totally new?

Rome II: Total War.
Total War: Rome II
Either that or
Rome II: Total War
CA simply can't keep ignoring the fact that the original Rome must be remade.

For me it is a no-brainer. Thirty Years' Total War (haven't read all 51 pages)
Think about it, plenty of different factions, religion plays a big part (though some may not like that) muskets and cannon exists but melee is still a very valid way of fighting.
There is great room for technical innovation and use of different tactics.
