Total War: A Song of Ice and Fire!

I mean, think about it! Medieval armies in the tens of thousands, political intrigue, million-army horsemen, dragons and wolves! Ghosts and long winters...

I think its time for Total War to start diving into the realm of fantasy. Its nice to go through history, but let's see something different for a change and A Song of Ice and Fire isn't like going from a hot tub into a cold pool. To me, the world has the perfect setting for a Total War game to base off it. Sure, the likelihood that it will be done is pretty slim, but it still will be fun, I think.

I like that idea Portus, we know the next game will be half baked and Rome is just tooo big .. so chop it up!

OR .. instead of dividing by political period, divide by campaign as you stated

(1) 1st Punic War - (that would be interesting, lots of ships, new weapons - Ship Ravens - elephants that scare romans etc)
(2) 2nd Punic war -
(3) Roman conquest of Greece
(4) Civil wars
etc
etc

I'd buy all those ..

Even if we know that Rome win, I was curious to see other desires.
I create a new POLL topic specially because I didn't agree with other choices (less choices), and you fusion...
Medieval? Central and south america? etc etc
WW1 and 2 is the same for a TW game...
Fantasy will never exist in a TW game...
Lots of votes to have real stats gone...
Lots of links on other forum and people will see a classic like usual poll now...

Don't ask to me, I created a very complete poll, merged here...... It keeps all of my poll but not the poll choices themself.

I would like to see an English Civil War- Total War, or to give it it's proper name- The Wars of the Three Kingdoms. You could have a campaign map with the British Isles, which sounds limited, but really would be no different from Shogun. The Ai would cope more easily (also in a similar way to shogun) and it could run from 1639-1651, or to extend it a little, say 1630-1660. The units would be cavalry, early artillery and pikes/muskets. Apart from the end of Medieval 2/very start of empire this hasn't been a feature of total war games so far and certainly hasn't been a key feature. Running around with Cromwell and the New Model Army would be cool! Factions would be; Royalists, Parlimentarians, Scots and Irish, which is perhaps too few, but would help with balance but only if those factions got plenty of unique units. This would probably help with replayability too.

rome II,but not with a generalist campaing,rome II with a concrete campaign for example based in the second punic war with a strategic map very detail with all historical tribes,celts,gauls,iberians,celtiberians,numidians,greek colonies of the zone,macedonia as a possible alliance with carthage with his army as reinforce in the border map for help to carthage if the event occurs or circumstances and the great powers rome and carthage.
tree tech and tree of strategic for every culture etc.a game very detail as shogun 2 style.

if CA makes games with generalist campaigns only,then CA will be no theme for future games,medieval III,IV,V,rome III,IV,V etc is absurd repeat same thing.
is better a game focused and based in a historical period concrete giving the news in every game and giving the new contributions that this period is, events, history, characters etc.
shogun 2 is a good game,because have a not generalist campaing,if CA had done a asia totalwar would have been a horrible game,also in the future game,CA may return to Asian theme with a new game for example the romance of the three kingdoms totalwar,a game with a campaing based in china.
