Don't care if I'm alone but please GOD not Rome 2. Too many remakes in the series already. I understood Med and Shogun as it was updating the old 2D engine and in the case of the latter it was returning to their spiritual roots.

Now it's time for something new. China would be fantastic or if you MUST have classical era, do something like ancient Greece and Macedonia pre-Rome.

This game was ruined with a poor release, bad communications, and once again CA lies. It's obvious the game concept was more structured and less open than prior games in attempt to fool us in to thinking it was more than it is.

As far I'm concerned they can call their new game

Not me, I would not buy R2. Granted I wouldn't cry on here for six months, being and indignant little pussy because I don't like the concept.

But if CA want my money then I'd like something new.

A Thirty years war, total war game would be something fresh instead of another shogun 2 game, but with roman legionaries instead of samurais.
But lets face it, the AI, the engine, the naval battle mechanics in shogun 2 kinda reveals, that it would be quite stupid not to release a rome 2 total war game based og shoguns new directx 11 engine.

I want to see them do a Fantasy Total War. It gives them more leeway for balance as it doesn't have to apply historically and there would be plenty of "unique units". Tbh, I would enjoy seeing CA do something other than a historical-based game. Something fresh, something unique, and something based on "A Song of Ice and Fire"

Shogun 2 has great potential, so I suggest getting the best out of it first.
Like no small DLCs as long as they are not free, but instead a full Expansiion or two.
    1. Korea-adding fully playable Korea on the map
    2. Meiji restoration-doing a roughly 1853-1900 time frame campaign with controll over different aspects of modernization and loyalty to the emperor (I think the game engine can handle that perfectly, seeing how nanban trade and muskets, etc. work in current game)

After that I voted for ancient greece as the setting is completely different from ETW, NTW and S2TW, but is small as S2TW and city states work simmilar as clans, so they could focus on "Zen" first and create a enjoyable game with small setting, experimenting with UNIQUE ACCURATE CITIES (That is pretty much the biggest thing TW lacks iMO) and landscapes then, when they got it well, do Rome 2 Total War worthy of it's title.

I would like it to be either Rome 2, or a game based on those books about war in China, Romance of the three kingdoms? i think it called that, there is a console game called dynasty warriors that covers that period but it would be awesome as a TW game, either game would be pretty fun.

That a very good idea, they have yet to do a fantasy one at all, so it wouldn't be sequel, don't know what ice and fire is though.

But there is no sense in voting for Ancient Greece total war,you will already have Greeks in RTW2 as well as cool Macedonians which i just can't wait to try with a good new system and everything by CA.

I have a feeling it'll be greece. I doubt they'll make another game in asia right after shogun 2. it'd make sense if they waited with r2 and released it on it's anniversary. although then again, making rome 2 after greece tw? eh probably not.

a few years ago I would have bought rome 2 without question. day 1 purchase. If it is rome 2 ill be giving a long while for the reviews to come in... maybe even pick up goty or something. I think TW is currently a weak title, especially after seeing Shogun 2 in action. Any other time period I couldn't care less about.
