    German Fuhrer Adolf Hitler ordered German Army to enter demilitarized Rhineland in spite of opposition from all high-ranking generals. German Army entering the Rhineland consisted of three severely understrength divisions under command of Kleist. French didn't do anything but protest.

    Fascist Italy of Mussolini annexed Ethiopia. Fuhrer sent congratulatory message to Il Duce.

    Elections were held in France and Czecho-Slovakia. Corrupted democractic system of France will bring its end.




    June 20, 1936

    Fuhrer wants to limit destablizing effects of communists and improve relations with Japan. Contrary to traditional German policy, Fuhrer favours Japan against China. Ribbentrop also aims to form anti-communist alliance between China and Japan with this agreement.




    July 2, 1936

    Stalin began to wipe off his rivals by series of trials and following executions. Of 5 marshals of Soviet Union, only 2 survived.

    PART III : SPANISH CIVIL WAR

    July 19, 1936

    Today, Spanish Army rebelled against the corruption of the reds in the government. Fuhrer immediately ordered the preparation of military supplies and volunteers to go to help of Nationalists. Fuhrer see the friendly Spain as the encirclement of France.

    The Reich began to ship military supplies, money and bomber aircrafts to Spain.



    July 23,1936

    Military support of Il Duce also began to arrive at Spain. Soviets began to send volunteers into Republican side.






    August 25,1936

    Ango-Egyptian treaty was signed. Our friend Franco managed to take control of big part of Spain in very short time.



    September 9, 1936

    German aircraft factories are working day and night to create strong Luftwaffe. 2 interceptor squadrons were deployed to Kassel airbase. Luftwaffe's fighter force reached to total of 5 squadrons.

    One more interceptor squadron is deployed.



    Bad news are coming from Spain. Reds managed to cut Northern Spain from the rest of Nationalist forces.

    PART IV : SECOND SINO-JAPANESE WAR




    Japanese Army entering Nanking


    October 22, 1936

    Considering the recent developments in the continental Europe, Fuhrer announced two-year conscription law today. Fuhrer wants to bring Wehrmacht into full strength. Before the law, there was only 20k reserves left for the entire Wehrmacht.

    Today, US elections was held. Roosevelt won the elections. Fuhrer believes the so called democracy in United States is strictly under control of Jewish capitalists. He doesn't believe United States will be threat for The Reich.

    King Edward VIII renounced the throne in order to marry with twice divorced Wallis Simpson.




    January 7, 1937

    Fronts in Spanish Civil War are stable for a while. Both sides entrenched in their positions. Nationalist took control of most of the country. Fuhrer is sure about the victor of our friend Franco.

    2 new factories are opened.

    More Bf-109s are being produced by Messerschmitt company. Nationalists finally managed to breakthrough the lines of the reds. Now, Republican forces were split into two.



    February 15, 1937

    Today, Chinese - Japanese border clashed turned into full scale war. Japanese Army began to pour into Northern China. Fuhrer wants to support Japan as he see her the better ally against Bolsheviks. He is ready to cancel all the previous cooperation agreements with Chinese government.

    Our intelligence sources inform us that Chinese are transferring their industries to the interior. Japanese may make invasions along the coast.




    March 23, 1937

    Forces of Franco entered Barcelona today. Republican troops is completely disorganized.

    Japanese Army landed at Shanghai today. They are expected to attack capital city Nanking to quickly cripple Chinese war machine. Our Arms industry is working hard to save Wehrmacht from the chains of Versailles. 3 new Panzer II divisions were deployed. Now, Germany has 6 armoured divisions.

    Today,Japanese Army entered Nanking and began to make mass executions. Nazi Party member John Rabe helped to save approxiamtely 200k chinese civilian from the massacre.

    Japanese Army is advancing swiftly in Chinese mainland.



    May 15, 1937

    Today, Japanese aircraft attacked and sank gunboat USS Panay anchored in Yangtze River. Japanese claimed they didn't see the American flag on the ship. Americans demanded compensation and Japanese accepted to pay compensation.

    1 interceptor squadron was deployed for Luftwaffe. Our friend Franco cleared Spain from the Bolsheviks and anarchists. Reds are making their last stand in Corunna.




    July 23, 1937

    Having taken control of major coastal cities, Japanese offered peace agreement to Chinese demanding further concessions. Chiang Kai-Shek refused the offer.




    August 8, 1937

    Nationalists entered Corunna today. All the remaining Reds either surrendered or escaped abroad. Condor Legion is preparing to return to home. Our airforce there obtained very important experience in bombing techniques. Fuhrer sent congratulary message to Caudillo, Fuhrer thinks that France encircled by Fascist Spain, Fascist Italy and National Socialist Germany won't hold out much.

    Our intelligence sources informed us about secret Soviet assistance to China. Situation in China doesn't look very good for Japan.

    3 Garrison divisions were formed. They will be transferred to Sigfried line.



    October 5, 1937

    Today, Fuhrer gave a speech about volksgemeinschaft in Berlin. Fuhrer also decided to put more pressure on Austria for future cooperation with Germany.

    3 Stuka squadrons were deployed for Luftwaffe.

    1 squadron of He-111 medium bomber was deployed. Now, Luftwaffe had total of 8 squadron of medium bombers.




    Fuhrer decided to appoint Von Ribbentrop as Foreign Minister instead of Von Neurath. Fuhrer wants to follow more aggressive policy, Von Neurath is known to give more importance to conciliatory policies. Fuhrer said Ribbentrop that "I intend to solve Austrian question in 1938, not later"

    PART VI : ANSCHLUSS




    German Anschluss, April 1938



    December 22, 1937

    Chinese Army recaptured most of the territory taken by Japanese including capital city Nanjing and Shanghai. In the south, two Japanese Armies are isolated.




    January 3, 1938

    Today, Fuhrer explained his decision to go towards more planned economy. He argued that Germany have to carefully plan all his economy to succeed.

    Today, Japanese foreign minister Hirota Koki sent a diplomatic note requesting us to recognize Manchukuo State. Fuhrer favouring Japan accepted the request and as a sign of further friendship declared that all military and economic agreements between German Reich and Republic of China will be cancelled.

    Today, Japan declared the independence of the state of Menjiang.

    Fuhrer opened new Siemens factory in Berlin today.

    After Von Blomberg, Fuhrer continues to wipe off old aristocratic generals who are hostile towards the Nazi Party. General Von Fritsch was forced to resign after he was blamed for being homosexual.

    Today, Fuhrer declared partial mobilization of German Army in response to Austrian troop concentration near German border. Fuhrer further added that Austrian government is repressing German people to prevent unity of German volk. Von Ribbentrop went to Rome to meet Cont Ciano and to discuss Austrian Question. Fuhrer is also pressing to Schusnigg to make him appoint Seyss- Inquart as Minister of Interior. Fuhrer publicly invited Schussnig to Berchtesgaden to solve Austiran Question.

    April 22, 1938

    Today, Ribbentrop returned to Germany with Italian guarantee that they won't act in the case of possible German intervention in Germany. Now, so called Stresa Front has collapsed and Fuhrer has free hand in Austria.

    Schuschnigg came to Berghof. Fuhrer threatened Schuschnigg with military invasion if he doesn't agree to the appointment of Seyss-Inquart. After hours of nerve battle, Schuscnigg complied.

    Seyy-Inquart became chancellor of Austria with a coup staged by Austrian Nazis. Seyy-Inquart now openly invites German Army into Austria.

    Today, German Army began to pour into Austria. Austrians greeted German Army and Hitler announced Anschluss of Austria in Vienna following day.

    Fantastic. Historical so far. Might I ask if this is HOI3 or a mod for HOI2? The map looks much better than the default HOI2 map.

    Thanks, this is Darkest Hour. A game which is developed over HOI2 engine by the fans. I would suggest this game to any HOI fan.

    PART VII : MUNICH AGREEMENT

    Battleship Gneisenau was commissioned in Hamburg Dockyard today. It was given under command of Kapitän zur See Erich Förste. New motorized division is formed. This is the idea of Guderian, he persuaded Fuhrer to create mobile force which could advance fastly in enemy territory and expoit the flanks of the enemy.

    Today, Konrad Henlein, the leader of Sudeten German Party came to Berlin and met with Fuhrer. Fuhrer gave instructions to Henlein to create confusion in Sudetenland. Henlein also took financial support.

    Elections were held in France.



    July 7, 1938

    3 garrison and 1 motorized division is ready to be deployed. We will use garrison divisions to further strengthen Sigfried Line.

    Today, Japanese forces in Manchuria clashed with Soviet forces near the border. Tensions are very high between two powers. Fuhrer is happy with Japanese attituede against Bolsheviks.

    Today, Henlein met with Czechslovak President Benes and demanded autonomy for Sudetenland. Benes refused the offer and enacted partial mobilization in order to put down pro-nazi riots in Sudetenland.

    September 8, 1938

    Today, Hatay State declared its independence from French Syrian Mandate. Hatay State adopted a flag sketched by Ataturk. It is very likely that Hatay State will be incorporated into Turkey soon.

    German Fuhrer Adolf Hitler today delivered a speech demanding freedom for Germans in Sudetenland. Fuhrer is determined to solve Sudetenland Question, either diplomatically or by force.

    With the initiative of Mussolini, A conference was held in Munich. French, British, Italian and German representatives were invited to Munich. Czechs and Soviets were not invited to the conference. Hitler demanded the complete overtake of Sudetenland by German forces. A plan prepared by Mussolini was accepted by British and French representatives. The plan of Mussolini was actually prepared in Germain Foreign Ministry.

    Today, Czecho-Slovak government realizing that they are left alone, agreed to cede Sudetenland to Germany. Prime Minister Chamberlein returned to Britain and described Munich agreement as Peace in Our Time. Chamberlein was greeted by most of British public. Unlike Chamberlein, Fuhrer was not happy for the outcome.German Fuhrer won great diplomatic victory but he is determined to go to war. He told Speer that "If ever that silly old man comes interfering here again with his umbrella, I'll kick him downstairs and jump on his stomach in front of the photographers."

    Today, sister ship of battleship Gneisenau, battleship Scharnhorst was commissioned. 1 motorized and 1 infantry divisions are also ready to be deployed.

    Darkest Hour doesn't work properly yet at all.

    I played WIF a lot time before, the best mod ever, I remember my hard times during the winter of 1941, I could hardly beat Soviets. Now, I play Darkest Hour, I think it is in very good condition to play, it is like improved WIF with tons of new features.

    I've played it too, and I think the AI is worse than WiF, and the events aren't up to much, I've seen Danzig or War in March and other nations not joining in, no Soviet involvement, Japan steamrollering China... WW1 scenario is a great idea but is a mess too.... The WiF mod seemed to work alot better overall.

    The map is nice, howeverand I'm sure it will be awesome after a few patches and a WiF style mod....

    The US troops in Afghanistan are guarding heroin for the CIA to sell.

    Latest situation in Sino-Japanese War




    January 2, 1939

    Fuhrer told his intention to invade the remaining of Czechoslovakia to his generals and ministers in a secret meeting in Reichstag. Hitler ordered the Wehrmach to make necessary preparations for the military invasion. Military plan is named as Unternehmen Südost. Generals opposed the plan asserting that Germany is not ready for war with France and Britain. But Fuhrer is certain in his decision, he is determined to go to the end. He believes that he could beat our enemies with unshakaeble determination. He further said that "The enemy did not expect my great determination. Our enemies are little worms, I saw them at Munich."

    Today, Fuhrer met with Jozef Tiso, the leader of seperatist Slovak People's Party. Fuhrer told his intention to dissolve Czechoslovakian state to Jozef Tiso and promised him independent Slovakia under his leadership if he cooperates with Germany.

    Fuhrer believes that Schacht is not good National Socialist but he is a man who really knows his job.

    Today, Fuhrer delivered a speech about International Zionism and their Bolshevik agenda. Fuhrer blamed International Jewry for trying to start a new world war.



    February 1, 1939

    Today, Jozef Tiso declared independence of Slovakia from Czechoslovakia. Fuhrer decided to use this as a pretext for the invasion.


    February 2, 1939

    Today, Fuhrer met with Czechoslovakian President Hacha in Reich Chancellery in Berlin. Fuhrer deliberately kept Hacha waiting for hours in order to cripple his nerve system. When meeting began, Fuhrer told Hacha that Wehrmacht is about to invade Czechoslovakia. Fuhrer offered two options to Hacha, first one is to cooperate with Germany and to obtain autonomy and degree of national freedom in Cezchoslovakia, second one is to "to face a scenario in which resistance would be broken by force of arms, using all means". Reichsmarschall Goering also threatened with air bombing of Prague. At this point, Hacha suffered heart attack. Fuhrer's personal doctor Morell gave medicines to Hacha. After being awakened with the help of medicines, Hacha gave in to German terms. Following day, Wehrmacht began to pour into Czehoslovakia. Fuhrer, once more proved his genius and won a great diplomatic victory.

    German Reich immediately recognized Tizo's Slovakia. In return, Tizo informed us his loyalty at peace and at war.

    With the annexation of Bohemia and Moravia, German Army obtained LT-38 tanks of Czechoslovak Army. New armoured division is formed from LT-38 tanks and LT-38 model is renamed to Panzer 38(t).

    Today, British Parliament guaranteed Polish independence in response to our liberation of Bohemia and Moravia. British seems to be determined to allow Poland to persecute Germans of Danzig.

    I really like the detail and depth of those games, but they are just too frustratingly hard for me.
