Default Unit Voice Change After Deleting The Events.dat File

I was hoping someone could help me with the problem I am having.

It is a minor quip, but it is getting rather monotonous.

I have created my own music mod for RTW and have been incorporating it into various mods for my own entertainment, etc.

To get it to work I delete the "events.dat" file.

However, I noticed that after I deleted it, all my Roman Units respond with "Yes, Imperator!" or "Commander!" instead of their class-specific acknowledgments.

I kind of miss the "Triarii!".

I have tried to fix it by using Vercingetorix's idx program to extract all the wav. files and input them manually into the "data/sounds/Voice/Human/Localized/Battle_map" directory.

I figured this would be the same as making my own wav. file and incorporating it in the game.

    No dice.

For some reason, my problem persists.

I did a search and came up with nothing with the problem I am having.

I was hoping someone with more sound modding experience might have encountered this problem and could point me in the right direction.

Look in the descr_sound_unit text files in the data flder, there are a few. This should help.

It seems to be only the Roman units that are effected.

All the Greek units I tested on the battle map respond with "Men Of Sparta!" "Hoplites!" etc.

lol all I did was delete the events.dat file, nothing else was touched.

I just dont get why it does this.

The thing is that when event.dat is missing, game looks for sound text files to see which voices go to which units.

Apperently, event.dat file and text files had no same values entered.

    P.S.
Anyway event.dat was supposed just to have "recompiled" data from those text files, and not something different. The bug is that they don't match, so now you need to find proper text files and enter fixes manually.
