wonderful mod !!! if I could, I would only recoment one think - i would change slavic pantheon - instead of Dazbog and Matka, i would probably use Perun (slavic god of war, thunder and lightning), who was very imporatant god in the expansion era, or Radegast Radgost, Radagost, Redegaistus, Radagostus, Redegost, Redigast, Redegast), who was truly historical person and strong slavic leader during the time of roman emperors Honorius and Arcadius; and for example Veles the of cattle, Chors god of moon etc.

as requested by a lot of user in our AoD-forum as well as via pm I checked, changed and improved the downloads (post#1).
I made a test some minutes ago and downloaded the basic version 1.0B and the patch 1.0C. It worked fine. Please tell me if your download failed.

Note:
Ages of Darkness 1 (AoD1) is finished, playable and we don't mod anymore on this project due to our new project AoD2.
However, if you have some suggestions please post them here and we can check if a quick-fix or some "additional things" are possible to include them into the finished version.

please remember that Ages of darkness 1 is several years old. You can't expect the same quality and structure as known from Imp. Julianorum.
However, the map is very nice, the atmosphere is great, the Foederati system very intelligent...
short: you will have some nice hours with this project.

When I click on the link (post#1) I have to wait 45 seconds and then the download begins. Please try again and again. Sometimes the provider radipshare writes a time-pout error. But the link in general is working. I tried it some seconds go and it was working.
But of course I will offer another (secondary) download option in the next days.

it covers the same time frame like AoD1 and is a very modern mod in many ways.

AOD 1 is on same timeframe as Age of Darkeness Two? After the Western Roman Empire Colapse?

AoD part 1 is just an improvement of vanilla BI (new map, new roman units and some other stuff).
This time frame is also covered by another Invasio Barbarorum mod (link see post 36). I personally suggest to play the Invasio barbarorum-mod - simply because it is new and provides new units for all factions.
