Tanks for the preview!
Excellent work on the models. I'm sure they will all look splendid in-game as they mow down lines of soldiers.
I want you all to know how beautiful you are. No body--and nobody--can ever change that fact, and no mirror will ever be able to truly reflect it, for mirrors are easily broken.
I congratulate you for your work on models.
Bravo, you are a chief !

One can never have too many tanks.
I don't know how many options modelling programs offer for the normal creation, but N:TW uses a special normal format with different normal and orientation values than what I've come across elsewhere (mostly in tutorials and, indeed, one normal produced in a modelling program).

You can create normal maps with xNormal (freeware !), and they are exactly the same as PS-generated normal maps afaik. Only better and more detailed
And btw, please don'ty get me wrong. The texture and normals on it look very nice, it's just that I though Bdizl would've taken care of the normals![]()
Aanker draws normals by hand, none of that computer generated rubbish for him, pretty unique skill methinks.

Actually i really really want to make my own normals as i think it ties in greatly to the modeling itself, things i could do in the normal map would allow me to make the models even more efficient and low poly, the only problem has been its seems more art and modeling which is why i have left it up to Aanker.
I think ill give xNormal a try tho just to see if its a viable solutionthanks for the tip Killerbee + rep
EDIT: ok i found a thread on the forums for xNormal that has screen of the maps it generates, http://eat3d.com/forum/questions-and...and-normal-map they very similar to NTW normal maps but what do you think Aanker?
Looks good, though it might be a pinch or two too blue. It's all in the colour values, so hopefully xNormal offers the option to adjust the RGB values of the normal itself and left-right orientation.
@Killerbee: no, I wasn't offended. My point was, in simplified form, essentially what I wrote in the lines above above.
