I doubt it. Where it is in the books doesn't mean much, I would expect it to close out the 3rd season. It would make an amazing ending and create buzz in between the seasons that would overshadow even Ned's death. Even though its a half of one book the 3rd season will need to have a story arc that feels complete, I can't think of another event that would serve as a perfect season climax like the RW.

If they push back the RW to season 4 that means you would have the RW, Joffrey's death, Tyrions trial and the Red Viper, and the battle at the Wall all in the same season. Thats a hell of a lot for 10 episodes when you consider everything else going on in ASOS.

Think about it. Starting off a season with the RW would be weird as .

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
If they do use the RW as a finale for Season 3, then we can expect a lot of Season 3 to be building up extra characters to replace the Starks in the hearts of viewers. Tbh, HBO have probably already made this decision, and we'll see it start to unfold in Season 2- I wouldn't be surpassed to see a lot of problems for the Northerners this season. Whatever the outcome, both Seasons 3 and 4 will be very tightly packed.
Of course, for budgetary reasons most, if not all, of the battles will be much smaller, or not shown on screen.

Ned Stark was well liked by the audience. HBO considered keeping him live, but rejected it because it destroyed the plot of the books. Even HBO will see there's a world of difference between changing a few minor Dothraki, and removing one of the biggest plot twists. With GRRM co-writing, theres no chance that Robb will survive

Of course, I would welcome a change from the books, when they do Feast and Dance. There have been no fundamental changes to the plot yet so far, but maybe GRRM will advise changing some things with Seasons 5 and 6. Assuming they produce them.

Storm of Swords, Book 1: Steel and Snow ended with Jon Snow escaping from the Wildlings whilst Bran was in the tower nearby iirc. It also had before that (iirc) Stannis' casting leeches to the fire, a scene which I would not be surprised if it made up the ending.

I was going to answer this but it has already been covered, book 3 along with being available in 1 novel can be purchases in 2 parts.

    Part 2: Blood and Gold

Even before the post change I did not insult anyone for disagreeing with my opinion, I insulted these two people, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, for thinking they could haave created a show that matched the books. I have not told anyone to stop watching it, I have not insulted anyone for watching it and I have not edited posts to hide the fact that I insulted someone (I did it because it was agains the ToS).

The way some overseas publisher arbitrarily decided how to cut up the book is not going to determine how HBO makes the seasons.

Robb will die, don't worry about that. D&D said long ago that having the RW on screen was one of their primary goals, and they would consider the series a success if they could just get to that point.

The RW is a culmination of plotting and betrayal, the very thing the show can show brilliantly.
Storm has to be cut down the middle somewhere, I merely mentioned the way the UK did it as a good way. Both the books end on cliffhangers, and nicely divide the action. But I still think the end of Season 3 might be a bit too soon for the RW- it will need a lot of lead up for the event, and a lot of extra character development to replace the ones that get killed off. Its' possible, but HBO might make a hash of things doing it.

Agreed. Excellent episode, easily the best episode of this season so far. The first 2 had me a bit worried, especially last week's, but this was GoT at its best.

I liked the scene were Cersei, Sansa, Tommen and Myrcela ate dinner, it really shows that all Lannisters aren't evil! By the look of Tommen he will really be a "boyking".
