Can't wait for the new episode tonight!
This show may be one of the best this year. I enjoyed the first episode, and the acting was excellent on all parts. Sean Bean once again giving an awesome performance and in my opinion he is probably one of the most underrated actors out there, this man is amazing in every film i have seen him in, even when the film itself is absolute crapola.
HBO has renewed Game of thrones for a second season!!!! woot
I'm new to this series, but I've instantly fallen in love with it just two episodes in. I haven't felt the need to dive into a fictional world so badly in a long time, what with looking up backstory, finding political maps, etc. My only problem is I remembered this mod after having started watching the show and the first place I went to was the FAQ.... Oops. I realize it's mostly my fault, and I'm always careful to avoid spoilers, but damn stumbling onto huge surprises when you're not familiar with the source material at all sucks.
Glad to know it's been picked up for a second season though, I can't wait till next week.
The worst part about GoT being renewed for a second season is thatSpoiler Alert, click show to read:

The series is great, it makes the Lord of the Rings film trilogy look like a cheap joke -especially the acting which far outshines the likes of Orlando Bloom

Anyone who has not checked out this site needs to. They have pretty regular updates about the show, one of the latest included something from penny arcade, Jason Momoa (Drogo) talking about raping his friends (as drogo, its pretty funny), and Gregor, the Mountain that Rides, joining the fight against illegal downloading!

I agree, but some things... And now Im thinking mainly of SuperLegolas Adventures here... I mean, come on! Skateboarding down stairs while fireing at a machinegun rate, climbing and bringing down a Mūmakil singlehandedily... In the books, he was an supernaturally expert marksman, but not a kids show superhero.

Absolutely! I mean Legolas wasn`t Fingolfin or Feanor.
Oh god Fingolfin! Now, that would be an epic movie.

Hell yeah! Now that's an HERO. Alone, marching up against one of the gods and scarring the bastard for LIFE. SEVEN TIMES. Or the Gondolin Lord Glorfindel who bested the Lord of the Balrogs, Gothmog. Legolas is like a kid streetskateboarder compared to those hardcore Navy SEALS.

Yeah, of course, Legolas, lol. But no one can deny that the LOTR movies are unique. I'm not saying this as a fanboy, but I've watched the whole behind the scenes thing, all the work, attention to detail, everything, the way they brought Middle Earth to life, altough imperfect or changed in a number of ways, is something unparalelled.
