All but 1, which was edited 8 hrs after my post. (AlecTrevelyan006's post)
I must shamefully admit that I completely missed the Renly and the Loras homosexual thing. Didn't even think about Loras being gay. I must re-read the books to get a better understanding.
Shields and swords will win you wars -
But in the end, the battle's for our hearts are fought by bards.
I had a lot of friends who didnt see that either so I explained that to them after the scene at the tourney where littlefinger points it out and then 10 min later BAM we get hit with the blatant and overly obvious gayness of Renly. I really wish it had been more subtle
At the tournament Littlefinger and Renly have some witty banter going back and forth. When they make a bet Renly says littelfinger could use the winnings to buy a friend. After he wins he tells littlefinger that its a shame because it would have been nice for him to have a friend. Littlefinger gestures to Loras and asks when Renly will be having him. (something like that)
Dont blame yourself. I can only remember that Renly was slightly effeminate (peaches, nice clothes, rainbow gaurd) Loras went into that rage after renly died and killed the gaurds and the fact that Loras said he took Renly's body to a "secret" place that only they knew about
There were another more prominent pointer to the fact that they were having an affair in the fourth book, I think it was something about Loras and Renly having an habit of "praying" together on some nights. I don't remember the exact words, but the sentence was delivered with a very meaningful "... praying". I think that was what opened my eyes to it.
