    Icon4 Units Fatigued to early and tracers?

    i was wondering if there was any way to have units especially cavalry fatigue rate either reduced or their recovery rate increase. I am tired of my cav charging one unit and being tired and never able to recover. Also the units never seem to have tracers even though i have the tracers mod above the extras mod.

    You need to enable the tracers mod. All units in TROM2 get fatigue match quicker and stay fatigued longer. It's way more realistic. You get used to it.

    I had a long rebuttal but i accidently closed out of the browser so ill keep it short because the blackhawks are playing.

    First off, you cant make this game as realistic as on the battlefields of europe. You cannot even come close.
    My main concern is something that can be made more realistic. The cavalry in this mod are useless after one charge because they become tired and never recover from being tired.

    The walking is also very slow, i think it should be more of a trot to represent this;
    On the battlefield the cavalry would advance
    against the enemy in either slow, medium or fast pace:
    walk - approx. 100 m/minute
    trot - approx. 200 m/minute
    gallop - approx. 300 and more m/minute

    If you want to make the game more realistic i suggest you incorperate this fact into the mod (i dont even know if its possible)....Expert on cavalry, Ardant du Picq, stated (with some exaggeration, just to make the point) that 49 of 50 one side hesitated, disordered and fled before contact was made. Approx. 75 % of the time this will happen at a distance, before they can see each other's eyes. Officer of the Grand Duke Constantine Uhlans, Faddei Bulgarin, wrote that only those who never actually participated in cavalry battle talk about two opposite masses or lines of cavalry clash with each other and fight until one side is annihilated. Bulgarin wrote that it was not so, usually one side attacked and the other retreated, then the victor and pursuer was counterattacked by second line or reserves and overthrown and pursued in its turn. Already in 18th Century, Mirabeau wrote that "veteran cavalry officers have told us that when two bodies of cavalry charge one another, it almost always happens that one party flees before the other can meet it. Saber blows are dealt only during the pursuit."
    Often they will get closer. Even in these few cases where both sides colided, there was no shock at full speed, but a halt face to face and then an engagement.

    I was simply looking for an answer to my problem, how to mod the game into making cavalry recover from fatigue at an improved rate. I am not trying to bad mouth the game because i think its the best mod for napoleon. This is the only thing that is bugging me. Now will someone please help me?

    In my most recent battle it really became a problem, while I ahdnt noticed it before. Ran up some reinforcements to my defences and took out half their moral just in doing so. They got very tired, would not catch their breath even after long periods of rest (really a human recovers fairly fast from running out of breath so its really odd to see them not ever recover in this). Horses run, its all their bred for basicly. They can run horse rases at full gallop for a fair distance, and I can tell you they could do it again after a few minutes of catching their breath.

    I feel I should clarify this on almost every post I make xD but this is my favorite mod for Napoleon so far and im just aiming to put some attention on what its faults are

    Get the PFM, open trom_core.pack and mod kv_fatigue. Battle speed is goverend by battle_entities.

    How would you edit it to recover faster? Or what I mean to say is edit it so it simply recovers ... and also naval moral... and naval gun ranges

    i just improved the threshold_active, threshold winded, etc numbers. and reduced some other numbers. i took a look at what vanilla was and put some numbers like charging and combat about halfway to vanilla (data.pack) I think, i am not 100% sure, the more that IDLE is negative the faster the recovery. It seems to have worked for me and now my cavalry can be more productive.
