Thread: Mongol/Cuman, Russian and Greek Medieval Artwork for Event Images Wanted

Default Mongol/Cuman, Russian and Greek Medieval Artwork for Event Images Wanted

The event images for 4 of our 7 cultures in DotS are now almost entirely using authentic medieval artwork now. The remaining 3 cultures (steppe, eastern european and greek) I don't have so much source material for.

Ideally I'd like to use all original artwork but considering that the steppe factions apparently did very little of their own artwork I may have to resort to using modern photographs and scenes from films.

Please post images that I could use for Russian, Mongolian/Kypchak and Greek/Georgian/Armenian event images.

    Thanks

There are tons of miniature paintings from Persia and India depicting Mongols. If think we have some of them filed in with the Islamic images.

What particular event images are required?? My girlfriend studied history of art and I'm sure I could find some medieval greek stuff in her work.

Well I am trying to use all entirely non-vanilla images. There are a lot of events. Examples include 'war declared', 'bulding captured', 'mission', 'marriage' etc etc. To see exactly what the event images are in the original game that I am trying to replace they can be found in:

Here's a Byzantine one for "new faction leader", coming from the tenth century Paris Psalter.

For marriage we could perhaps use the famous one of the Emperor Constantine and Empress Zoe from the mid eleventh century.

Perhaps the death of a faction leader (though in reality, it has nothing to do with this)

This one could be a new family member, though it's baby Jesus, so possibly a bit iffy to have it as a Byzantine Imperial family heir.

Here's an alternative potential "construction completed"

Just to clarify fella's we need period art. Photo's and modern sketches are the last option. Thanks!
