I don't understand his problem...
You don't have to buy this music and the DLC that are about to come. YOu're saying this like you are permitted to.
Let them sell there music. It's great. Maybe i even buy it.

I for one am glad they have allowed an option for users who enjoyed the games music to purchase.
Dont know why all the hate is coming from. If you dont like the music than by all means no one is saying you have to buy it. Its not like its new or anything its already in the game! (ie no new/additional resources were required so no resources were taking from the development of patchs etc.) CA can correct me if they wish. For me i just see them shipping the music to a 3rd party company, and they knock out the cds etc.
You're talking like there was any electoral support for intelligent policy. If he had campaigned on a platform of reform, improving competitiveness and generally making Portugal less of an economic punchline, he'd have been beaten so bad we'd still be picking his teeth off the ground. Without the ability to weaken the currency, those reforms would have meant causing a recession in the midst of a massive economic boom.
Electoral suicide, in other words.
Granted, he could have stood up for what's right. He was there in 05, he had time. And I'm right with you on calling him a spavined nag for not making hay while the sun was shining. Portugal's problems are entirely the making of its own government. You can't blame the banks, because no Portuguese bank has needed a bailout. And you can't blame the housing industry, because Portugal didn't see the boom that Spain or Ireland or Britain or the US did. Parliament was at fault, and for better or worse the man behind the wheel was Socrates. He's almost as culpable as Gordon Brown (Mr Have-A-Voucher-And-A-Raise) was for Britain's collapse.
But you're leaving out that the PSD was right there behind him on those projects. The "we didn't have a say" excuse used by the PSD was fine for the first austerity package, but after three it wore a little thin. The PSD crapped on those packages not because they disagreed -- everyone generally agreed that the content of those packages was roughly right, and there was plenty of room to negotiate on the marginal stuff -- but because they figured they could ride the wave of pissed off voters to victory if they sat on their asses and did nothing until he threw up his hands and walked.
In other words, they went for short term electoral gain rather than behaving like a responsible opposition party.
At which point, Socrates, the man who least deserves to come out of this looking not like a total tool does indeed come out not looking like a total tool. Which is why I'm defending the guy, rather than letting you (rightly) beat him up for his failings.
This thread is just getting weirder by the minute...

People did read your post, and you said more than just this, like these.
Here you are strongly implying a connection between fixing the game and squeezing more money out of it as if they are mutually exclusive.shouldnt the priority be fixing the game they sell, instead of pushing it back and find a new way to squeeze more money of it?
And who knows why one MUST pay for DLCs and OSTs.this can't get more low, i mean god we get buggy game, the support (no comment), no tools, for many like me wich loved the past CA's game musics (specialy kingdoms expansion) with wide variety and beauty, now we get one and you must pay for the rest !
It really sounds like you hate the series to be bashing about release of OSTs. Maybe you should just... not buy the game next time since every single one of their release had some major bugs and the pattern can't be much more clear than this.i bought every single game and expansion since shogun

This thread is a prime example of how things get blown WAY THEOUT OF PROPORTION on twc.
I mean seriously guys. I understand most of the complaints against CA and what not. But complaining about them releasing a soundtrack? Jesusing christ. Go outside. Get some damn fresh air.
Literally nothing to complain about here what so ever.

I have to post again to express my....welll....my....![]()
8 pages of blablablablablablablablbla...this si sooooo funny...really had a great laugh about some comments...thnx everybody![]()
Let's look at the whole picture...
- We all know the music files are accessible with the mod tools. CA can sell their soundtracks with a relatively clear conscience because this was more than likely planned before those tools were up to date
- CA weren't the ones who released the tools, so someone buying the soundtracks without knowledge of the modding community is not their problem
- I imagine TaikOz would be getting royalties from the sales
- People who don't play the game or maybe people who do, but are not aware of the game's files may want the soundtrack for personal use
- People who have never heard of this series may stumble upon the soundtrack and end up buying the game
I see nothing wrong with charging for an OST. They aren't doing it to top the charts or make boat loads of cash, they are doing it for exposure. No, I'm not going to buy it because I already have access to the files, but for some lost individual out there this is probably aing godsend and that is all that matters.
Could we stop this silly thread now?

Of course not, who am I kidding....please, do continue. Just wait a minute while I get a drink and some popcorn.

Nope - I reckon that prize goes to this guy:

Firstly, he spent over 700$ (over £400) on a graphics card and secondly, he actually reckons CA owe him the money back, because they did force him to get a new card, didn't they? Honestly, some of the people you find on these forums.![]()
I've bought games OST before. UT99 OST is one of my all time favourites. I never regret buying it, it's now kinda rare actually.
They're not forcing you to buy it, dude... I really don't care when companies sell totally optional DLC (skins, OST and stuff like this). What I don't agree is when they sell stuff that was supposed to be IN the game or added as a patch (new units, new mechanics, new maps).
Seriously just close that thread its a pile ofthat the op keep sinking in ...
