Erm, hello? This place is still alive, right?

So, I'm not entirely sure if this is the best place but I'd much rather make a post in the wrong thread than a whole thread in the wrong forum.

Could you give me a concise description of the 3/4 bigger mods and how they interact with the "FALL OF THE SAMURAI" expansion?
You know, the one with the Imperialists VS the Shogunate supporters

    Thanks chaps

Any thoughts on a mod that reduces the "Coming of Age" for family members to 16 or 18 years old? One of the major mods in Rome had this feature included(i cant recall which one).

I'd really like to get my family members "in the field"(in an Army) earlier than 24 or 25 years old to start their experience and ancillary gains at bit earlier.

Is there by any chance a mod that brings some fots units into the original vanilla campaign?

I'm sure this has probably been mentioned many times, but is it in any way possible to port ETW and NTW maps to shogun to make multi co op campaigns a possibility? If I was faced with ETW's campaign mixed with Fall of the Samurai's multiplayer engine and game improvements (bombarding, etc), I don't think I'd ever leave my home again (assuming they figured out how to fix all the campaign bugs).

Is there a mod that makes the bodies disappear without reducing the Unit Detail setting?

Is there any way to mod, or is there an existing mod, that alters the Unit Sizes Multiplier for the in Game Options, so "Ultra" gives say, 2x the number of units as "Large" unit settings? Would be great for those of us that want larger unit sizes for the various Unit Mods out there, to avoid causing any conflicts and to avoid having to alter the db/unit_stats_land_tables.

Would be much easier than manually altering all the unit sizes one at a time every time CA patches or the unit mods we use get updated.

I'm probably just not looking in the right places, but I've scoured the released mods and the .pack files looking for faction specific units for FOTS, but alas can't find any. If just seems strange to not have any. Is there some somewhere I'm not looking or maybe a mod related to faction specific units?

Been lurking these forums for a while now but I guess it's time to start posting. I hate that my first post is a request but I've tried searching everywhere and can't seem to find it. Is there a mod that removes death by natural causes for vanilla, or ROTS if there's one for that? I know there's a mod that extends the years in the game (3 turns for 1 season, 12 turns for 1 year), but does that specifically extend the ages of your agents and generals?

Hey guys, since this is were you go to request mods. i was wondering if theres a phew things out there and im extremely new to this genre so im learning alot as i go, and this game is extremely hard to get started in with a steep learning curve so far. so im dying alot, and surviving more each time on easy

    So im wondering

    - Is there a mod or AI addon which "reduces" the AI difficulty below easy for newcomers. maybe something that sort of makes them less aggressive, allowing a new player to spend more time learning buildings, trading etc. without been attacked so often ( i get attacked ALOT ) even when i make alot of diplomacy. it gets broken very easily, so id love to get more time to really build and play with features.

    - Is there custom campaigns, i know this isnt starcraft and maps cant just be made. but id love to see a more naval based campaign, restricting each side to an island with the only way of travel via naval. encouraging more naval combat ( maybe i just dont survive long enough to experience naval )

(Its clickable by the way....An S2 overhaul mod.)

Seriously. Click it. Its the only overhaul mod that's overhauling enough to bring out NEW clans

Be able to play as the clan from the last samurai movie, you know the one with the white tiger as their flag, that would be awesome!

My biggest complaint about Shogun 2 (I was a big Empire fan) was how small the campaign map was. Victory just didn't feel as meaningful, that game not as grand.

I'm sure I'm showing my ignorance here - I can't seem to find any mods that change the campaign map at all and add regions. Will this ever happen? Are there any I'm missing?

you will find that all mod threads have full instructions on how to download and install them. as i t tends to differ from mod to mod, it is best to look at the one you are most interested in first, and see what information they give, then ask in that thread for specific help.

For most of them, all you have to do is drop the pack file into the Shogun 2/data folder within the steam folder.

Some mods like Darthmod have installers that do that for you.

For me the path is this:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\total war shogun 2\data

If you don't have windows 7 you may drop the "(x86)" I'm pretty sure.
