I wonder how Shepard origins would be?
For me my Shepard Was born On Mindoir, and lost his parents on a slaver atack. After that he was a war hero on Elysium.
But i have a feeling the standart origin story Earthborn, and survivor of a thresher maw on akuze, it will be canon, on the film.

Since when has compromising the artistic integrity of anyone, let alone the most prolific RPG developer out there, ever seemed like a good idea?

I'm pretty sure this is going to be JUST like the Halo movie. And the Bioshock movie. And the Akira movie. And every other single studio pet project based on a popular nerd medium. Big budget titles that either never get made, or cost too much and bomb spectacularly.

It's going to languish in development hell, various directors and actors will profess interest and maybe even sign on to the project, only to drop out because the script sucks, or the funds aren't there, or the studio backs out. These things NEVER get made. And they shouldn't get made. Mas Effect 1 is utterly perfect as is, a movie is stupid and unessesary.

Uwe Boll's stuff is pretty lulzy. But not really... "good" or "watchable".

Hitman tried way to hard to be Wanted.

And the resident evil movies don't ALL suck amazingly. Some suck marginally less.

Though "Good" video game movie... does The Wizard count?

If we're counting Virtual Novels as video games there are a few movies/animes that are pretty great, but that's debatable anyway.

I don't think they'll tank or at least I feel like both will probably at least come out, the Dragon Age one is set to come out this year isn't it? Depending on how it does will probably seal the fate of the Mass Effect flick.
