Count the amount of factions in a mod like, say, INVASIO BABARORVM or Roma Surrectum, and then count the amount of factions in RoP.
We have just as many factions as any other mods, even if it doesn't seem so
We simply can't add more.
right you have many factions but it's very hard to see.
you got 6 greek factions , 4 barbarian factions , 2 egypten factions , 3 Iranian factions and 3 estern faction.
18 factions.
BTW : is there possible to make a horde faction like the vandals and the huns in BI ?
+1 Indian faction + 1 rebel faction = 20 = limit
on hordes: not unless we convert to BI.exe (which is a big "no no" in our policy, I think).

the reason that the factions in this mod seem so few can be :
1. the are far awys from each other mostly and in your time frame many factions haven't rised so there is many many rebel provinsess between them.
2. most of the factions aren't playable in v2 so when you check the costum battles you don't see many factions.

Meh, that's not the point any way. The point is that we won't be adding any new factions.

Well, just like in V2, you can recruit AOR units in settlements and you can hire some as mercenaries.
oh now I get it so you wanna add the AOR so the players can recruit native units instead of recruiting the units from the last faction.
for exampel: that will be awesome, so you mean that when you conquer susa you can recruit elemit units instead of babylonians right ?
You can recruit Elamite units, but I'm not going to say anything about the recruitment of units of other factions: that's for the next preview

That flaw was already fixed in patch 2.22

On scripts, btw: I'm not that fond of using scripts in this mod, so I'm not going to use them unless necessary (our extra campaign, for example, will use a lot less than say, ChivTW FCRC, which was pretty small already). Vanilla-ish gameplay with better balanced battles above anything else, imo.
old-topic: I am worried about that hoplite v sparabara stats, because I don't feel it's realistic that 60 unarmoured, rather improperly trained hoplites can defeat 160 troops of the same quality in skill when surrounded even if their shields and spears are larger, heavier and better suited for a frontal enagement.
