AI samurai
Not sure if this idea has been suggested but what about changing the AI samurai only infantry units only to loose formation all the time I can't do this I wondering could it be tried, Fights squash up to much it ruins immersion, is there another way of preventing units from bunching up so to speak.
Anyway the pro's as I see them:
1/.The AI samurai archers take less loses if they are attacking you(your archers will usaully fire first this helps AI in seiges more so)
2/.AI Samurai units take less loses from missle fire.
3/The loose formation would help units from piling up.
possilbe cons
1/Would the AI struggle in their formation keeping, would units overlap I don't know.
2/Are units in loose formation inferior to units in standard formation vice versa.
3/Would cavaly charges still be effective on samurai in loose formation.

Re: AI samurai
Units in loose formation get a melee penalty I think.
