Community Help the TWC clan find Alt+F4 users

We have a new rule where anyone who uses Alt+F4 in a battle is going to be kicked out of the group.

But we need proof, and video seems to be the only hard proof that we can use, so how can you help us?

Give us the video in you tube so we can review it.

What is alt+f4? When you Alt+F4, it ends the game without incurring a win, loss, or any experience adjustments for either player.

the rule should not apply if one player is using siege weapons. alt f4 is an exploit just like fire rockets are an exploit.

The thing is...if a person alt-f4, there's no chance at the moment to get a save replays due to no victory screen, and the button at the result screen doesn't work. So unless someone recording a live match for every match they play, it's hard to get any video.

You cannot save a replay if the opponent alt+f4's. Additionally you can't expect people to be taping every game, so the conditions are unreasonable.

Something tells me you are going to be one of the first on the list.

While I disagree with your reasoning, that is unimportant. What is important is that once we start including exceptions, things get very complicated and there will be blurry lines and complaints regarding those who alt+f4 and justification for it. The best and simplest solution is to simply bar any form of alt+f4ing, regardless of the reason. The moment you pull the plug to prematurely end the game, you are exploiting, and should removed from the guild, and any guild with any sense shouldn't accept you.

Oh that's unfortunate... There really is no other hard proof that we can use. Maybe if some is using fraps or something then we could use that.

I can make a screenshot of anyone dropping within 10 minutes, or 5 with a Photoshop preset layers and known STEAM name. Problem is - replays cannot be played when one player drops so it is hard to prove. I know a lot of people with very partial solution - they are streamers for various portals. like SC2TV, own3d, etc. but not all can stream and record their games. Witch leaves only FRAPS.

Obviously I don't have proof since I don't make a habit of carefully documenting every single game I play just in the off chance that I can finally do something about someone alt-f4ing, but this instance is particularly egregious as the member I was dropped by is extremely highly ranked. That doesn't shine well on the TWC clan!

Well, if you can capture the screnshot that shows the blue line with the person dropping, with the minimap (showing units) and battle strength (which is usually a good indication of a person leaving the battle), its better than nothing. Even better if you have all the dead bodies below.

I don't know much about photoshop, though. I suppose there's probably a way around that?

Slander is malicious, false, and defamatory. I have no reason to go out of my way to register on these forums just to make something up about a TWC member. I explained what happened to BunnyPoopCereal, and I'll be sure, in the future, if I ever have the good fortune to play against that member again, to document the battle. The person in question played a great game, one of my most memorable probably, so I was extremely shocked to see that when the last of their units routed the message "the host has left the game" popped up.

I gave them a piece of my mind over steam after the game, but of course I didn't get a response.

Comparing Alt+F4 to siege weapons is just ridiculous.

Well this was likely to happen eventually, however, you should probably take into consideration the fact that theres been rumbling that the concede defeat button some times bugs out and doesn't provide the win. (i've tested it with a friend and it happened on our 5th attempt. I can't seem to spot a pattern to the bug tho to duplicate it)

Funny stuff right there. I just conceded defeat to some lvl 10 player who won a fairly close victory... and I got the win. Thats not right at all. I guess I should have played it to its conclusion... that always gives the right player the win... or seemingly so. Sorry [ussr]russia_dean something or other.

You spare alot of time by just clicking ESC and then surrender/Forfeit/Concede battle or what it says.
While at the same time not being a faggot that is.
