I have some suggestions about including other minor/protectorates/emergent factions:

British Empire:

- Colony of Natal
- British Raj
- British East India Company

Spain:

- Carlists
- First Spanish Republic
- Kingdom of Spain Savoy
- Kingdom of Spain Bourbon

Others:

- Zulu Kingdom
- Chile
- Peru
- Argentina
- Qing Empire of China
- Japan Empire
- Comanche
- Apache
- Orange Free State
- South African Republic
- Kingdom of Siam
- Ashanti Empire

Most of those are off the map so there's no point adding them, though maybe at some point the zulus will become available in custom battles.

The East India Company was disbanded as an imperial force in the 1850's, so it definitely won't be included. We've already split India into the Princely States and those provinces directly controlled by Britain. Multiple Spanish factions won't work as there aren't enough regions in Spain for them to emerge.

There is a single region in Spain, so the only Spanish faction will be Spain (and generic rebels). There isn't a Montenegro region either. There's also only 1 area of North America thats still controlled by native americans in this mod, so there's no point having more than 1 native american faction.

The Raj was the collective term for British India-both those bits directly ruled by Britain (and so part of the British faction), and those of the Princely States, that we are treated collectively as a protectorate (Manipur was one of these, so it won't on its own either, even if it wasn't off the edge of the ETW map).

Its technically feasible, but very unlikely before we've done all the main factions and the emergents and protectorates that will appear in the campaign, which must have priority for obvious reasons.

For the Spanish problem, you have 3 options, Absolute Monarchy, Constitutional Monarchy and the Republic. So basically for the Absolute Monarchy starting with King Ferdinand VII, conservative despot pro-clergy, pro-inquisistion, and Jesuit, Tory type during the Reaction years (1814-1820's) versus the more liberal progressives Trienio Liberal (1820-1823) lead by Rafael del Riego, and the The Ominouse Decade (1823-1833). But problem came that Ferdinand had no sons but daughters, and that made his younger brother legible to reign as King, because succesion law, that made women not lgible to become Reigning Queens. Which produced a new succesion civil war against brothers, or should a say Daughter versus Uncle. Queen Maria Cristina versus Carlos Maria Benito Borbon, thus causing the Carlists wars, amd the Regencies (1833-1843).

You should also add al the revolutionary wars in the americas against Spain, with Simon de Bolivar. Spanish American independence (1810-1833)

There may well be variations in the Spanish roster depending on what form of government it has, but at the end of the day there can only be one Spain.

Bear in mind though that the mod's time period starts in 1865, which is too late for those events, as well as for 2 out of the 3 Carlist Wars.

You may include carlist units so as we can play custom battles with them and play against spanish units, just for fun. If the mod starts in 1865, there's no problem doing so since Third Carlist War took place in 1872. I admit, I don't know anything about modding, but what about including carlists as a spanish rebel faction?

Rebels are literally the lowest priority for the mod I'm afraid.

Sorry to be so late. That's right, the factions you mentioned are enough for a good experience. It would be really difficult to cover all the nations involved in 19th century wars. I want to let you to doing the work and I hope everything is going well. Can't wait for the release of this fascinating mod!
