pretty much ruins any challenge giving urself SRG, tht many of them anyway, its over kill
The purpose of that custom battle wasn't to challenge myself, i'm doing that playing as Macedon in the real thing. I just wanted to see how good the Spartan Royal Guard are when firing on all cylinders.
Payback's a beetch
Probably would have gotten better results if i had the garrison wasn't under AI Control, still though,i impress even myself
The Spartan1, what battle difficulty do you use?
Thanks i guess,oh and here's my first campaign battle on VERY Hard.
Normal Unit Size (New Campaign) and those Greek Independents backstabbed me and laid siege to Lilybauem (Spelling?) and i sallied forth to break it,i suffered heavy losses but i won in the end,now i just need to take all their colonies in the Western Mediteranian (I know its spelled wrong) and i can make some big profits,i just need to blockade Rome's ports so they can't invade the colonies i already own since i'm also gonna have to deal with Iberia sooner or later.
nope, it can be whatever you want it to be...

Cool, guess i'm gonna do a Carthage Campaign AAR,give me a while to start it up and create the Thread and eat dinner.
Hi,
I find it interesting that after a blockbuster movie comes out depicting a time, group, era ec...point in history, the units are changes to reflect the movie. The truth be told that it was a dirty time untill the invention of plumbing, Soldiers could go months and even years with out cleaning themselves. Chainmail was the equivilant to buying an expensive sportscar and owning a horse was like owning an airplane.....The actual stats elude me , but...something like 1 out of every 1000 men actually had a horse and even less had enough cash for head to toe chainmail. Chances are if you ever saw an immortal, it would be the first and the last....so Immortals should be like buying an aircraft carrier or something, oh ya, they along with everyone else would be filthy and clothes would be gruby.

Except that the reason they were called Immortals because there was always someone to step in someone's place when one of them fell and then there *may be* something like that they worn a simple mask (cloth, veil, whatever) so they all look same.
I call this one "Heavy cavalry ejector seat"
