Actually never mind, its not the vision range that is causing the problem. Even without toggle_fow I get crash to desktop now.

It might be something to do with upgrades that have a visible effect on the strat map (city level, ports, roads, mines, etc).
Thanks for spotting that. Duplicate buildings will cause a ctd if they get upgraded, but there is no upgrade for the monuments so the only problem here will be the doubled bonuses.Edit2: I don't think this is causing on problem, but I noticed the Scythians get two founding monuments if you aren't playing as the Armenians. Might explain why the Scythians always do so well.
Well here we go
Running XGM 5.9.21 on a fresh install. Just installed all of my RTW and BI stuff including the patches in the past few hours.
I click on imperial campaign and it states for me to "Pick an option from the list" When I close XGM i get an error pop up that reads this exactly
Rome Total War- Barbarian Invasion
Script Error in
xgm/data/world/maps/campaign/barbarian_invasion/descr_strat.txt, at line 21, column 1
expected start date of campaign or battle
Help quickly would be amazing <3 Thanks

You probably have the wrong version of RTW/BI. Sometimes the patches don't work, especially if the game used to be in a different location. You can check your version number in game by looking at the top right corner of the options screen. It should be 1.5 for RTW, or 1.6 for BI.
i download the xgm v 5.9.22 and try to run the installer many times...every time an error msg shows up and say installer integrity check has failed !!

I just recently redownloaded XGM, but I'm having a problem with the Heavy Swordsmen of Gaul. Their chest is missing. Reinstalling doesn't fix it.
I've just recently gotten this mod (as in, yesterday) and started a campaign as Germany. Now, when I load, I get a CTD just after the loading screen (before the actual game comes up though) I'm using RTW (not BI), downloaded through Steam, and the game will show that it's loading (the loading bar goes all the way up, but then, instead of starting the game, it kicks me out).
I have yet to try it out with a different save game, or a different faction (going to go try that now, actually).
The campaign map models for the Greek ports/fishing villages are messed up with the Prometheus city models. They have the crooked Prometheus walls and such, but the buildings inside are the vanilla non-Prometheus ones and they clip through the walls and look out of place since they're significantly larger than the ones in the cities. Strangely though the Roman ports do use the correct Prometheus buildings and walls for their ports even when I'm playing as the Greek Cities. I've tried reinstalling and redownloading but to no avail. The cities are all using the Prometheus models but the Greek ports aren't.
Also there's a hole in the map to the right of Cyrene
I'm using the newest version 5.9.22 with BI, Steam, fatigue enabled, faster movement, land bridges, Prometheus cities, Reduce AI bonus, 1hp. And I'm playing as the Greek Cities.
I can't get BI to work. I have it patched to 1.6, and followed the readme on how to get it to work with steam. However, when I try to start a new game, it asks me to "choose an option from the list", with only a check button. When I exit the game, an error message pops up that says:
Script Error in xgm/data/export_descr_unit.txt, at line 6501, column 18.
Invalid ownership type ‘scythia’ found in unit ‘horse archers Scythian horde’.
This horde unit has been assigned to a non-hording faction (Scythia)
quick update to my post above. Provincial campaigns work fine, but I still get the error message when I exit.
I installed it using steam, and launched it through steam. I have a desktop icon I could try instead though... Would it work with steam, or would I need to re-install it using the BI option?
Nvm that message. I don't know why I thought I had a different way to start BI, and don't know how to delete replies.
Quite minor, but I believe there's an issue with the trait 'Hero of the Bardic Song' for the German family members.
It seems that if a character has this trait and is governing a city, the city produces 0 tax income.
Every time I turn turn on my computer I have to reinstall the mod or it crashes, any help?
I reinstalled it with the latest version:"Script Error in:
and now i gives me this error xgm/Data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign/descr_strat.txt,at
line 21, column 1.
Expected start date of campaign or battle.".
can anyone tell me how to fix it?
I reran the update and it fixed the second problem, but it still crashes if I don't reinstall it every time I turn on my computer.
