Problems with instalation?

I have tried to search everywhere in the forum for a solution to my problems in installing the mod.

I have followed the exact instructions listed on how to install the mod but I keep having the same problems. First when I install Conquest 2.2.1 to the Medieval 2 Total War folder it mentions it has been extracted succesfully, but when I go to the second step of installing the 2.3 patch I always find some problems. For some reason the conquest folder never creates itself in the /mods folder so I have nowhere to instal the 2.3. So I manually create the conquest/data folders and install the 2.3 patch in there but I always have the same results. After placing the conquest Vista, XP, TrueConquest batch in the Med 2 folder the only campaign that always loads is the 1230 Mongol invasion one, like it is the default one. I have tried installing the 2.3 patch in the main Med 2 Folder and all types of alterations to the placing of the files with no change.

I am at a loss of what to do as I am very excited on trying this mod out. -_-

If anyone could give me a hand, or advise on what to do I'd really appreciate it.

If it helps, I dont know if its the same for everyone, but when I begin the extraction of the 2.2.1 it always mentions 5 different errors concerning unable to open conquest Vista batch etc. Does that happen on everyones extraction?

I was able to solve some of the problems. By extracting the 2.2.1 files to a folder in my documents instead of the Medieval 2 one I was able to obtain all the folders and files needed which I just copy pasted in the Medieval 2 Folder. Now that I have the conquest folder I was able to easily apply the 2.3 patch. One problem persists though: For some reason everytime I try to load a campaign it always loads the 1230 Mongol invasion one. I have no idea why I cant acess the other campaigns, and if someone would shed light on this issue for me I'd greately appreciate it. I have seen others type they have had the same problem, and they never seem to get an answer on how to fix it, so getting to the bottom of this would help many of us in these situation I think.

If you're using Win7 you need to follow the instructions in this thread or you won't be able to copy the files.
