Unit upkeep cost reduction

I was hoping that some one with modding experience will create a mod to reduce all unit upkeep costs. I tried doing this but found it near impossible to figure out. Modding in previous total wars was far easier than Shogun. The reason i would like the upkeep reduced is because i find it near impossible to win on hard dificulty because the ai seems to have armies with yari samurai, bow samurai, katana samurai, etc. While i can only afford one army of mainly ashigaru even though i have several provinces. I would prefer upkeep reduction to about 15-40%

This has already been done, but not up to the % u are asking, but it's an option.
