Thread: Campaign army/general figures

    Default Campaign army/general figures

Is there a way that I can assign the general figure to a unit so that it appears as a general on the campaign map? I've noticed that custom made "generals" appear as regular units on the campaign map.

Rep coming to those who help!

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Can you explain?

A unit has two models - the model which describes it in the battle, and the model which describes it on the campaign. Spies look a certain way, generals another, other units a third. I want a normal unit to look like a general on the campaign, or find the table which controls that.

You mean the icone and info card?

The image is in ui\Portraits\Custom and ui\Portraits\Euro

Then you have a list of historical characters in db\Historical_Characters_Tables

But then I don't know how the link between the two is done.

Take a look in campaign_character_anim_set_agent_junctions. I'm not sure about it as I haven't tried it myself, but maybe you should change the 7th row "default_value" from "colonel" to "General". You should definitely take a look in the other tables such as campaign_anims, campaign_anim_transitions and maybe agent tables in order to change things accordingly and to prevent a CTD. As I said, I'm not sure about it, it's just a hunch

    Cheers,
