First your game must be fully updated and you must hae right now in data folder all patch.packs files. Latest is patch20.pack released yesterday. Then you choose always proper campaign version of my mod - original, rots and fots, depends on which campaign you going to play. After that you download it and place it into Data folder and mods should work without issues.

But maybe: Can you do something against extreme overlapping fleets?
I play now with Tosa. After 2 years the Ai build many fleets. Josai clan spamming full fleets alround my island, bombarded with everything, can not move away from the island. And voreign ports very expensive to repair ! ( 9000 gold). Sure not only Jozai spamming me, i have 4 enemys... All send more fleets at a time. can not defend ports.

if you are using my Food and Slots mod or Total Overhaul then there are improved port defences. AI is more agressive on purpose to be a bigger challenge for player. What you wrote is exactly what i wanted to achieve, clever Ai trying to destroy your ports. I suggest to build your own fleet to defend yourself on sea.
Yep sure, I was also more Fleet. But it had been destroyed because of the superiority of multiple enemy's fleetsCan not so many produce like AI spam. (I use your all mods.) If i lowered the navy build priority, then AI maybe not spamming so many fleets in same area...?
If yo uare uneffective to defend yourself i a suggest use your diplomatic skills. Where are you allies if you have so many enemies. i boosted aliances and AI priorities to help ally in need. If you will have good partners they may take care about your problems. Starting war against many unprepared can be deadly with this AI. Its not passive as original one, this one acts faster, more brutal and can be worthy fow.
Original game can be finished with closed eyes, but i asure you this mod improves the AI in every aspect where AI can use against you even the slightest mistake. I am proud on this mod since none mod in Shogun 2 did with AI what i managed to do, i spend on tweaking Ai tons of hours to make AI be great challenge without simple cheats and bonuses.
hi Radious i love your mods , a suggestion with the AI side of FOTS , could you perhaps encourage the AI to modernise quicker? Late on in the game im still seeing most enemy ai fielding armies of Samurai and Levy units 100-200 turns into the campaign.
Modernising gives the player a massive advantage and i wished the AI did this also , and it seems that the AI doesnt really form a battle line and fires inneffectively , i see a lot of clumping up of enemy forces so only about 20-30 of them are firing and the rest are just standing there waiting to be shot and my rifles just tear through the condensed formation.

I really like your mods, it offers a great challenge, but is there a way to increase the way ennemy do more assault attack on cities than siege ? The ennemy is often attacking cities that have just one army garrisoned with 5-10 armies, but rarely attacks, they just do siege again and again without attacking. (specially on cities with citadel+ and/or upgraded towers). More fort defense type of attacks would be great.
I could do the tweak myself, but I'm not sure on which value to modify...
Anyway, thanks for your mods, it made the game really more fun to play !

Could you make your AI packs do something similar, with a different icon for each version? I keep forgetting which AI mod is currently active when I play, and this would make it easier to use.
in next version you should make Vassal more loyalty in FOTS , they rebel even they are weak
Is it possible to have a better autoresolve for siege battles? Defenders should have much more advantage especially when the attacker has 0 siege/ranged units.
That would be nice, yeah. I've gotten into the habit of autoresolving every siege assault and manually playing every siege defense just because the autoresolve is so unbalanced.
it is possible , in Darth mod 4.1 version autoresolve in siege battles are better than vanilla . you don't need to fight manually in every siege battles. but as attacker you need manually play , or you lose .![]()
Yes it is slightly better than vanilla, but it can still be improved. The biggest problem is the 0 or few casualty when you attack with huge multiple stack of melee troops against samurai retainers. If you actually play the battle it is impossible to have 0 casualty because the tower will hit you
The towers and "spidermen climbing casualties" need to be taken into account in auto-resolve calculations...
Just to be sure: you can only have one of the AI mods active at a time, right? You can't have all three in the /data folder at once and have all three function?
