    Default No General's visual influence radius v1.0


    I heard a few people on the forums wanted a mod to remove the general's influence circle as to create a sense of more realism so I made this.

    As you can see from the screenshots this mod removes that blue circle of radius which forms around the general and is a MUST if you value realism and/or are a screenshot taker.

    Download link: I have added the .rar to the thread in attachments, if for whatever reason you cannot download it post in the thread and I will post a link to another online hoster ASAP.

    Installation:
    Simply drag the .pack file to your data folder, which can be found here:
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\total war shogun 2 demo\data
    . The mod activates itself automatically so there is no manual activation required.

    Compatibility:
    As far as I currently know this mod works with ALL other mods!

    Changelog: v1.0 - Removed circle of influence

    Any and all feedback is most definitely welcomed and I hope that you add this mod and enjoy it as much as I hoped you would!

    IMPORTANT: This is a visual change ONLY, the influence
    circle is still there just now you cannot see it.

    Nice job mate, I'd recommend changing the title of this thread though, it sounds like you've removed the influence itself, not the graphical circle. Or maybe that's just me.
    Muh signature is so out of date all muh pictures died.

    Is it visible when you press the space bar? I like turning off the other indicators (unit markers, path markers, ranges, etc) but like to see them when I press the space bar.

    Thanks for the input LuckyLewis and yes I've changed the title.

    I'm sorry I haven't tried although I've made it permanently invisible so I think if you do press space bar and it "appears" it won't appear as it's invisible. Does that make sense?

    Short answer: Sorry mate I don't think so

    Would you use a mod if it toned down the circle somewhat so you could still see it but had to focus to see it? I was thinking of creating a mid ground for people who don't want the glaringly obvious circle but want the circle to be there

    Any input will be appreciated

    Mhm...the basic gameplay mechanic is already in the game. For instance when I choose not to show firing arcs (which I do) then I still see them by pressing and holding space.

    It might currently not possible due to no modding tools and so on, but I hope it will be in the future.

    Cheers for the post GODzilla. If we get some sort of advanced tool in the future I may set it in a different pack so you can hold down space and see a circle. At the moment though It doesn't work

    Hello,
    I am really looking forward for this sort of graphical tweaks that reduce the interface (the help and encyclopedia icons, and the big useless rounded general portrait in the lower left would be nice also if they were exterminated...).

    But I would also need to see the circle when pressing space... since it does give an important information.
    I am not suggesting you spend another round of nights doing this just to please me.. but do you have any idea if this modification is possible? I am also interested in having the "floating banners" appear only when space bar is pressed.

    Any information would be appreciated!

    Well I'm sure it'd be easy to retrofit the firing arcs "appear with space" script onto the circle however at this time we don't have the tools to extract or change said script.
    However when (and if) we get the tools I'll start looking around and update the mod ASAP.

    Alternatively if you use the mini-map the circle still appears on there so you can still get an idea of what units it covers

    It seems that the file is corrupt when I try to open it with the pack manager ? Could you confirm it ?
