    Icon3 Realistic blood

    Yep,
What's about a realistic blood mod?

Not a big blood explosion with an arrow per example...:
=just few little blood drops with some blade attacks,
=blood explosions with canons and small ones with guns,
=May be blood on corpses after death and on the ground.

    Just the realistic way.

We'll probably only get like we got in ETW and NTW, big blood explosions when a cannon ball hits and a small burst of blood when arrows/"bullets" hit.
Blood on bodies isn't possible as far as I know.

So it's not possible to conditionally change textures on units? That's unfortunate, since that's how blood worked in Medieval 2. I really liked that poart of the game. However, it should be possible to change the combat animations to include blood, but you'd need to buy Ultimate Unwrap 3d (assuming modifying the Shogun 2 anims works the same as ETW and NTW)

There exists some very good modders who can do everything (cf repman and Taiji MTW2 dlv mod; script, textures proga etc)

Change that into realistic physics and it's perhaps more easier to achieve.

Even if there's no 'blood texture' by default? MTW2 was easy because the game had a (rubbish) blood texture - but it had one, so it was simply a case of changing it. I really don't think it'll be possible in Shogun 2, as much as I want it.

Generally speaking, a graphical engine may render whatever variable exists, programming them (to physically perform as intended) it's hard-coded. Without an engine definition for blood texture characteristics you'll get nowhere.

Believe me if they had overlay textures like in M2TW I would be all over converting crimson tide over to the Shogun2 engine. The dirt/blood feature in M2TW added so much aesthetic value and added to the realism so much..... its such a shame they removed that feature.

I agree... I loved watching units of peasants under heavy archer fire, and seeing blood spatter all over them. i also loked the way people reacted when struck by a flame arrow. Unfortunately, the units in Shogun 2 don't seem to flail around and scream as much... that would probably be dishonourable.

Not to mention a shamefurrr display. The fact that samurai valued honor doesn't make it a commodity. It was as scarce as any value, like everywhere in the world.
The blood exaggeration and theatrical suffering from previous games don't match even close a real medieval battle where limbs are chopped, and horses desperately run run attempting not to step on their own guts from spear opened bellies. Personally I'd be pleased if the combat was more close to realistic physics (as in mass and acceleration) not more bloody or gorish.
