Icon3 No probs to see general cavalry, but the general himself

Read, I'm speaking about THE general! Not his complete guard! I'm not blind, thanks
I have no probs to see my general cavalry, but the general himself.

    Hello,
We do not recognize quickly enough (or not at all) our generals on the battle map, it means that sometimes we can't find them in the melee (He will die?)...
It would be great to just have our generals highlighted, and or a larger circle beneath them, and or an icon above their heads or else
I think is very important and easy to do

They're already pretty visible with those Horos. And the flags have a big sign above the flag to show they are the general.

Well there's not really anyway to make them seem more visible. The "surfboards" are a "everyone's the same" kinda thing so they can't be coloured either. So either turn the horos/flags on or do you're best to monitor your general's situation more closely.

Whats about adding an unique flag in the back of the general then?
    3d skills needed...

We cannot edit the 3D models at this moment. If we get to the stage of NTW's model editing we can give him a second torso or 4 more arms

I would love to see a general commanding tent like this screenshot from a Japanese RTS game. Not only it's more historical (the curtains, the battle flags, and a different sashimono for each general's troops), I also think it looks cooler. Since S2TW has superior graphics it would be a shame not to recreate something like this.

PS: although I am aware that this is probably not possible to mod.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Horo removal is an optional submod in almost all the overhaul/compilation mods, not a standard inclusion. So you don't like horos for doing what they are supposed to do (identify certain units), and complain that since you remove them you can't identify your unit...

+1 I'm fed up of people removing horos and then complaining of the lack of general identification

It's the main reason I won't even bother trying DM because his is the only one where it appears mandatory. Not only do they help me identify my generals, I think they look cool and they are in fact historical.

In DarthMod there is an optional "Remove horos" mod file, just delete it (straight from the mouth of the Sith Lord himself)

I use DMS and still have my Horos

I can recommend it so many times over. TRoM was better on Empire but this time round Darth seems to have got it just right

Again, I'm just speaking about THE general, not his all guard/staff/crew... I'm not blind.

I WAS WRONG: Horos aren't historical in battle it was just for celebrations etc. And not ALL the clans used them. We can't see a crap with the horos. More useless than useful for movement. etc etc

Conclusion, I want to be able to clearly see my general fighting to avoid death and enjoy myself.

I suggest giving the general and his bodyguard different horses if possible. Did the japanese happen to use barding, cloths or such on horses? that might work.

No they were not, I've already cited enough sources in the cavalcade of stupid horo threads that I'm tired of doing it. Even if you cannot be convinced of their historicity despite (or in spite of) the facts, then they are still fantastic as identifiers in battle (their actual purpose), the thing you are complaining about.

    Need proof
And again I have no probs to see my general cavalry, but the general himself.

    EDIT:
In fact, there were horos in battle field. I will replace them then.
