If anyone is looking for some light practice of their writing, you could try playing some forum RPG game. There is one up now, set in India.

This looks really interesting M, too bad I'm completely stuffed with other projects right now.
    Hopefully another time!

This seems as good a place as any to ask although I do apologize if I'm in completely the wrong area. I do a lot of Fanfiction, primarily Song of Ice and Fire, and dare I say have gotten a lot better over the last year or so that I've been typing up my tales. I'd love somewhere to post my stories and get feedback (relying on reviews on fanfiction.net is frankly, not great) on my writing. Should I post such things in the Creative Writing section? I'm a tad lost...

I've posted an ARR before, and it's horrible by my current standards. I know where to post those but Fanfiction not connected to a game? I think Creative Writing but I'm not certain, thought it best to ask.

Also, it sometimes helps to specify that you're looking for feedback. That way instead of just writing "nice" someone might be more likely to write "nice, vut the second passage was a little choppy", etc

I've already put "feedback is appreciated" on the OP here - http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...-Sunset-Starks - so that should be enough if somebody is inclined to leave feedback.

Hi SoulGamesInc, I look forward to reading your story The Sunset Starks. If you want to improve your writing, one option is to ask McScottish for help - see his Tartan Mentoring Institute thread, here in the Writers' Lounge.

Congratulations to everyone who was nominated in the Writers' Study Yearly Awards! Thank you to everyone who has voted. If you have not yet voted, you are warmly invited to vote now (link).

Meanwhile, the Critic's Quill are releasing the most ambitious AAR review we have ever undertaken - our first Masterpiece review, about the legendary AAR Takeda. You'll find the first two parts of the review (Radzeer's interview with the author, Robin de Beodemloze, and Caillagh's commentary on plot, writing and characters in Takeda) in the Critic's Quill. By kind permission of Robin de Bodemloze, Caillagh's review also includes a download link for a special PDF edition of Takeda.

    Hey everyone,

I just tried to find a Hegemony III AAR that was released here in the Non-TW AAR forum. The thread seems to be deleted or to be lost during the forum rollback. Does anybody remembers the author of this AAR? I wanted to ask him some things regarding the game.

I think the author was some sort of staff member or perhaps a citizen - so my hope is that someone knows who he was.

    Cheers

I'm getting an itch to do some creative writing again. Not sure if I should pick up an old project, reboot one of said projects or strike off in an entirely new direction. Any thoughts?
Swords of the Sea: 1066 has come and gone, the Danelaw torn down and a new kingdom built in the image of its Norman rulers. But with time, wounds heal and what is broken can be reforged. The Danes have returned with steel, and seek to reclaim what is theirs.
The Great Expedition: Pax Anglia, one of Earth's great empires, sprawling across the stars. On their newly colonised planet of Nova Sydney, adventure awaits on the savage frontier - Henry Boyce steps forward to lead an expedition to pierce the Bushlands' wild heart.
Winter War: Finland, 1939. The Soviet war machine has begun its indomitable advance from the east. Of all its neighbours, only Finland stands alone in defiance. Conscript Anton Bezrukov prepares for a quick victory, but the reality is far bloodier...

'When we last met I was but the learner, now I am the master.' Good to see you again! Your historical war pieces are always riveting, and easily digested.
