Default Dishonoring Treaties Bug -- is Everyone Getting it?

I'm sure many of you have heard of or experienced the dishonoring treaties bug. As a result of it, the player gets -40 to relations when trade agreements are involuntarily broken, for a variety of other nonsensical reasons, and sometimes for virtually no reason at all.

I'm wondering if everyone gets this bug. I've stopped playing until it's fixed, but if it only occurs in some campaigns and not in others, I'll give a new campaign a shot.

    Thanks.

You also get dishonoring treaties if THEY break the alliance and they go away unpunished.

I noticed I got it for breaking an alliance. But not when I was called to war, I broke it during peacetime. And still got "dishonoring treaty", which I think is rather lame. I shouldn't take a hit breaking an alliance that I don't want anymore.
I used to have a quote from George S. Patton about the Russians, but I guess some might have found it offensive.

I say just declare war on as many clans as you can in a single turn and then reinforce your capital settlement and fight them off. lol

Might as well mod it to trigger Realm Divide in the beginning then

Ive been getting large penalties for dishonoring treaties

    weird thing is

I haven't broken any trade treaties

I haven't broken any other treaties.

Penalties are vastly different for different clans inc those that i have only just encountered.

The only negative diplomacy ive done really is successfully ask for trade imbargo from allies against my enemy - so it could be a glitch.

EDIT: also A vassal rebelled and tried to stab me - but i doubt id get a dishonoring treaty for that?

Its a bug......you in essence suffer for what our allies, trade partners and vassals do. Hope to see it fixed.

    Yes, it is a bug:

It's the worst bug I have found in this game so far. I hope CA acknowledges it and fixes it asap.

CA has yet to acknowledge it on the totalwar.com forums. CA reps respond to threads about small bugs, but they've pretty much ignored the numerous posts about this particular problem.

Maybe because it's not actually a bug ?

LOL really? Did the guy who worked on the diplomacy in Civilization 5 work on this game as well?!
It was the same thing there, but with devresponses such as "It is working as we intended."

Anyone know if they can mod this particular status out? Its effing hilarious how fail CA are responding to this thing.

I just got hated by the Hattori for "Dishonoring Treaties" to -80.

I DIDNT EVEN TOUCH THE HATTORI.

I have the bug, too. Modded the game to get rid of it, it practically destroyed the diplomacy even if I didn't do anything!

Bug or no, diplomacy (as usual) leaves a lot to be desired in this game.

Bugs are just undocumented game features.
As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.

It's a bug , in my game i never betrayed a single alliance , never looted a single settlement (house rules ) , my daymio honour is the highest , yet i have -200 for dishonoring treaty ..

Basically , what happened is that sometimes when the AI betrayed me , broke trade agreements for no reasons , the bad reputation it should have had went on me (the player) , it's the only logical explanation , IMO it's clearly a bug .

Happens a lot to me as well. Those -25 or 55 i can take and usually diminish over time but i once got a -200 and had to restart my campaign sadly.

Please please link me to the mod. I'm allied with 3 people so I could actually survive in the early stages of Legendary and my allies keep declaring war on each other.... thereby giving me a -80 dishonoring treaties bullballs.
