yea i tried it halfway in my new campaign and at least i managed to win the campaign without much fuss as i had held the province required and i took Kyoto last as well as holding it for 4 turns(one year).

my clan fame is acclaimed(before it hits legendary) at that time and when my damiyo became shogun, only the whole of Japan go berserk on me. I did not bother anyway as i had won and felt more like starting a new campaign

btw, could you triple, or better, quadruple the clan fame? just for the fun of it hehe

Is it possible to lower the multiplier of the Clan Fame from double to something like +50% to cause Realm Divide? Currently in Short Campaign you hit RD when around 13-14 provinces, with long campaign around 25 if I remember correctly. Double fame is too much, it causes RD after you conquered necessary number of provinces to win the game. +50% would cause RD around 20 provinces in short and 38 in long - just when you are about to win the campaign. My numbers could be a little off, but you get the idea.

Yes you could easily do that by using PFM 1.6.4beta or newer (in the workshop section). Open the file, edit the number and just save.

A player that builds up, researches and takes it slow will have more provinces when the time comes. Other factors contribute towards RD as well.

Last game I played my RD occurred after 29 provinces, which I find normal, with the mod as it is on VH.

It really isn't much more difficult than that. There's not been a single mod I have downloaded, ever, that I have not had to edit myself to be able to play the way I like it. Just play around with PFM a bit, in fact I encourage anyone to do so as long as one does not open the original STW2-files and save over them. Learn how to extract and add files to your own mod, and edit from there if you're going through the original files.

so Zowrath, you changed the line prestige_level_realm_divide from 100 to 200 when you changed things? did you change any of the other 3 lines? and so in theory then if i want it to be a little higher (clan fame before realm divide) i would put it to 300 or something??

All lines are double of what they were before. So divide by 2 and you get the original value. Adjust to what you like, but they are steps on the way to RD so they should again be the double of the other. prestige_level_realm_divide is the last in that chain, putting 300 would then triple the original value.

thanks Zowrath, i will increase all entries then for my next campaign, not looking to make things ridiculously easy, but dont want dozens of armies after my hide either!

I've already checked and this mod is ROTS compatible, so the efect is the same in ROTS as it was in SHO2. I use this mod too and enjoy the game more with it.
