This is a closed 2-player co-operative hotseat game. I intend this to be rather different to normal hotseats, as there are only two human controlled factions and the idea is to assist and co-operate as alies, rather than as rivals.
This hotseat will be more AAR in style as a result, and I hope to tell the story as it develops and provide plenty of screenshots. TATW just doesn't work in normal hotseat conditions, but I believe such a great mod can still be played as a hotseat. Just in a different way.
The rules are simple. As this is a co-op game, there really are no house-rules. There is no turn time limit, although as there are just two players, the game should proceed at a good pace.

As the end of the third age of the world draws near. The scattered Dwarf clans look to the future with some trepidation. The Dark lord Sauron, has returned to Morder and is preparing to unleash a final war against the few remaining free people of middle earth.
To the south, the remnants of the Dunedain of Gondor prepare for the onslought of the Dark Lord and his servants. Rumours abound that the orcs are multiplying in the mountains, and in the east and south. Men under the dominion of Sauron are mobilising.
Rumour reaches the north of evil at Isengard, the home of the wizard, Saruman.
King Dain Ironfoot makes what preparations he can. He must make the Dwarves strong again, if they are to have any hope of weathering the dark times ahead. The first task is to start the construction of roads to facilitate trade and communication between the distant Dwarf strongholds. An army marches from the Blue mountains to secure and develop some of the empty lands of Eriador. Another small army marches north from the Lonely Mountain to secure a foothold in the Iron mountains.
The tale now turns to the Silvan Elves of Thranduils folk and of the golden wood, Lothlorien.
