    Default Best Ever Rock Songs!

What do you think are the best ever rock/hard rock/metal songs ever?

As a hip-hop to rock convert about 6 months ago I probably don't know as much as a lot of you out there, but I will give it a shot.

These are my top 10(well I tried to do 10 but I couldn't leave some out!)rock bands/songs (in no particular order)

    AC/DC- Hells Bells/Back in Black/Thunderstruck
    Aerosmith- Walk this Way/Dream on
    Black Sabbath- Parnoid/Iron Man
Bon Jovi- Livin' On A Prayer
The Clash- Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now/London Calling
Eric Clapton- Layla(D&TD)/I feel Free/Sunshine Of Your Love(Cream)
Guns N' Roses- Welcome to the Jungle/Sweet Child O' Mine/Paradise City
Jimi Hendrix- All along the Watchtower/Foxey Lady/Purple Haze
Led Zep- Whole Lotta Love/Stairway/Kashmir/Immigrant Song-maybe just every song?
Metallica- Enter Sandman/For Whom the Bell Tolls/Master Of Puppets/Seek and Destroy
Pink Floyd- Comfortably Numb/Wish You Were Here
Queen- We will Rock You/Bohemian Rhapsody/Another One Bites the Dust
Rolling Stones- Satisfaction/Wild Horses/Paint it Black

    What do you think?
What are your top rock bands/songs?

Edit- Beatles- Let It Be/Penny Lane/St Pepper LHCB/every other song?

    Honourable Mention
    Nirvana- Smells Like Teen Spirit
    Velvet Revolver- Slither/Fall to Pieces
    Blur- Song2
Oasis- Live Forever/Don't Look Back In Anger/Some Might Say
    Queens Of The Stone Age
    Nickelback- How You Remind Me
    The Who- My Generation/Pinball Wizard

I'd add Rammstein for the comedy of their live performances (burning pieces of scaffolding falling into the crowd.. hmm)

if interested, watch/listen to 'em here:

    Amerika
    Some live performances

Also being in a language no one actualy understands makes them more hardcore to listen to.

But anyway yea, i like your choices

    *cough* Beatles *cough*

Most of their songs would belong on any rock hall of fame...

I'm not a huge fan of the Beatles, but I do apreciate their music. The Clash's live music is much better than recorded. And I stand by what I said about Queen, but I won't say why because then this will become a flame war.

Oh yeah... Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys...

Also: Metallica - Seek And Destroy.

Franz Ferdinand are good but I have only heard one arctic monkeys song - the one in the charts that I can't be bothered to type! I was going to buy their album but someone told me it wasn't that good anyway.

Hmmm... These arn't neccessarly my favorites by each artist...but the ones people are likely to know

    Tenacious D - Tribute
Guns and Roses- Welcome to the Jungle
    Velvet Revolver - Slither
The Smashing Pumpkins - Bullet With Butterfly Wings
Rage Against the Machine - Killing in the Name
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Queens of the Stone Age - No-one Knows
David Bowie - I don't know which song though...he's the man.

I'm bored now...that'll do- and other people have got alot of the other ones I'd mention

OOooo BTW- Buy the Arctic Monkey's album...see past the hype (yes they are overrated) but it IS a very nice album...especially when you've had some of the pub experiences I've had
