What specs do I need?

After playing crysis2/sc2 on very high settings I was a bit suprised to experience so much lag in 2v2-4v4 in shogun 2 total war.

what specs do I need if I want to play on high-very high settings on 1920x1080 ?

FPS generally put less strain on a computer than a TW game, running Crysis 2 smoothly is not exactly the best benchmark right now as it isn't in its full state (no DX11), and Shogun 2 isn't exactly full right now either.

At least a Dual Core processor will be needed, the GPU must be beefy (so at least from this generation or the one before), and you must have at least 4 GB of RAM, maybe more.

atm i have a quadcore amd 965... 3gb of ram (well 4 but my 32bit OS only uses 3gb) and a 6850 card.

so i'm looking at building a new PC, maybe an i7? ati 69xx series?

edit: hopefully in the upcoming months a few patches can be released to help optimize the game and provide an overall boost in performance.
