Screenshots-harnesses
A small point I know, just one of interest, in many of the screen shots troops are shown wearing what looks like leather harnesses or braces? over their chainmail.
It's just that I don't recall having seen it before in books etc.
What are they and do they look correct? because in my ignorance they look abit odd like this.

its probably supposed to be a holder for a sword sheath or its part of a shield strap

Skyhigh - can't go out at night because he'd bump his head on the stars.
not to mention they often had to hall there own food and water long distances and if left on the battle field it would often times be lost to scavangers on the battle field by allies or foes let alone being forced to route.
Its not what you know but what you do with that knowledge.

I know what you mean. It is a misinterpretation of illuminations, and should not be there.
