The Missing Warrior Monks

Right now Matchlock Warrior Monks, Warrior Monk Heroes, and Uesugi special versions of said monks don't exist in the game. Matchlock Warrior Monks even have a full encyclopedia page in the game already, Could some brave soul add them in?

I thought Matchlock monks were in?

But we're also missing Warrior Monk Cavalry, who I've seen in buddhist rebel armies.

They are in campaign but not battle.

I wasn't able to build matchlock monks in the campaign. I had the required buildings and was buddhist too.

They are. But only in the Historical Uesugi Battle

They are your first buyable Sword inf in MP

Defend a Castle Level 4 and you get em as garrison troops

As any faction? They're not in the custom battle selection. Hope there's a mod to release all these hidden units.

Onna Bushi is garrison only, same as Samurai Retainers. But it can easily be modded to recruitable once building_units_allowed is able to be edited.

Yeah I'm still waiting for it. Gonna keep my endgame savefile just so I could immediately build some elite monks after I mod them in.

Hey guys just to give you a heads up myself and Agostinos are working on this and almost have it done. The only unit that is giving us a problem is the Monk Hero. For some reason we are unable to get that one to work.

This is mainly a pic of my new ashigaru units but you can see the monks in the ui and the background.

Nah maybe later in the Edo period, but this was a pretty common hairdo of the period.

Not sure if any of you are interested in this however i have created the following units for uesugi:

I removed ALL samurai from the uesugi faction and replaced them with:

Light Katana/Yari/Yumi Monks
Heavy (more armored, less robes) Katana/Yari/Daikyu Monks
Light/Heavy Yari cav/ katana cav monks (also there are the bow and naginata ones in game already)
Swapped out Katana/Yari/Yumi hero units with monk skins and used the models from some of my custom made mp avatars as their generals (using ikko ikki expac).
Added a new elite hero of only 20 men that can stand toe to toe vs 180 katana samurai but not much more (both units basically are wiped out after the melee).
Changed ALL ashigaru skins to those of the ikko ikki (ie variety of monk robes amongst the ashigaru helms that most other factions have).
