Finding hidden units?

I wiped out all the cities of an enemy clan but they still have an army hiding in one of my provinces. I can't move my army out of the city or they will take it, so now I can't expand any further. How can I get rid of them?

Depending how big they are, you can starve them out through attrition. Best bet is to sally forth and take the fight to them.

Sacrifice a weakened or cheap unit if you must, or move any agents you have to the region as they are not vulnerable to this army. Also cavalry units have better spotting (at least they used to) abilities, slowly move one out and see if you can spot it w/out being ambushed, even though this sacrifices some of its range it doesn't matter since the infantry will need to catch up.
